If you pick up and/or finish Disturbance Detected: Blackrock Depths, you CANNOT pick up Disturbance Detected: Black Temple. This is a big problem, as players who encounter this bug are locked out of a Heroic drop.
FYI, if you pick up the BT quest before BRD, then you can complete both.
Not only locked out of a gear piece, but the heightened chance at Ashes of Al’ar.
Was unaware of this issue. Took and completed the BRD weekly for the anniversary event and now cannot be offered the Black Temple quest for a piece of Hero gear plus a shot at a rare mount.
I am experiencing this issue, too. I went to Shattrath to pick up the quest on my alt, but didn’t see it, so I came here for answers. I abandoned the BRD quest I picked up previously and I was immediately able to pick up the Illidan quest from Vormu.
This is absolute trash and needs to be fixed. Miss a piece of heroic gear because I saved BT for last on my weekly grind.
I am also affected by this. I did all the quests at the anniversary event before going to get the Dorn and timewalking quests. I tried to have someone share the Black Temple raid quest, but it says that I am not eligible.
Another week, another weekly progression bug.
This won’t get fixed, and Blizz continues to hate on casual players!
“This is the most casual friendly expansion ever!” It would be, if any of the weekly resets actually worked. And you weren’t locked out of this, and any other of your weekly quests that never reset in this expac.
Wish I could ask for a refund.
happened to me too. i had to warn my guild about it or they would get screwed over. a lot of them are new players too, what a great way to introduce them to the game
