So we are just going to let any rogue just distract people off of platforms in towns with the guards just stand there and do nothing? also for reason there was a undead rogue ganking a lower lvl on one of the boats I come in on my pally to help the lower lvl and the guards start shoot me and shot me off the boat. LOL does this always happend?
If you’re talking about Booty Bay then yes it always has happened, distract doesn’t put you in combat and with BB being a neutral zone if you attack someone or if you try to defend yourself by attacking them back guards will just attack you both.

Distract only works on out of combat mobs/players. If you want it to also place the user in combat, I suggest you first take a look at the spell Hunter’s Mark and have your proposed changes applied there first. . .
edit: seeing as how you’re a warrior, just pop ur Bloodrage while crossing precarious locations. You’ll be put in combat and immune to Distract!

Distract, the natural Apex Predator of keyboard turners.
If you run by holding the two mouse buttons down, or even W down, distract does nothing. It only works really when you are autorunning.

They are auto running is how. Distract changes their run direction.
well again I wasnt on my warrior and this is a classic era war. I was playing my pally in SoM. Hunter mark isnt being used like distraction was being used. Just to spite other players. And to the person who said
I was fully aware of that. Yet the rogue who started attacking a allance players on the dock and run on to the boat wasnt being attacked yet when i started to defend the other player the guards started attacking finaly. when I was already on the boat. Thats all I was saying.
Without a video this is impossible to determine if its a glitch or not. Rogues can vanish, distract in stealth without entering combat, sap without leaving stealth. So who knows what actually happened.
It isn’t a bug. Distract doesn’t put you in combat.
