Disregard Professions

I just searched professions on this forum. The majority do not like the current system and have given up. A few like it and are prospering.

Blizz are you reading your own forums or are the so many posts just a redundant waste of time?

They’re so we can giggle and share secrets with each other, like all of the forums. Nobody at blizzard cares what we say on here.

They’ve said they are happy with it more or less [no surprise]
They even removed profession updates from their roadmap …

I like the premise of professions as someone who dived in and fleshed them out on alts also… but DF really took it to the wrong side of things

gathering is the best it’s ever been.

crafting is what the complaints are about. literally nobody complains about gathering.

Sounds encouraging to be a gatherer. Shame that I have to stop crafting for a system only a few understand.

That’s purely guessing based on a survey of the place where many come to complain, and few come to praise.

Many of us think it’s overly complicated. I think that’s the case but with a few changes it could be much better.

  • Get rid of varying quality, at least in mats.
  • Fix the buggy interface. It’s being made smaller, which is a good start, but it’s glitchy as heck.
  • Trading speed for no guarantee of quality was a bad idea and just adds to disappointment, and leads to bad feelings between crafter and customer.

It’s great that they made professions more interesting and immersive, but as they often do with expansion features, they went overboard and kept adding to it until it became problematic. Just dial it back a bit.

This is GD. It’s like the oubliette of the WoW forums.

No.

Yes.

If you think these forums are in any way representative of any significant population… I honestly don’t even have a response to that.

So you also…

I like it but am not prospering.

( edit: fixed for a share of Boredumb’s kingdom as per post below  )

You also seem to fit the majority.

Many is a subjective term, majority is not.

My only problem with them is that it’s inconsistent in what you need across the professions.

I’ll explain. Blacksmithing basic recipes just require the ore, and flux you buy from the vendor. Leather working requires the leather and rare leather.

that word… no.

no.

who is ‘us’

Those who post on forums. As stated, and you can do your own search on forums to verify if you so please.

my kingdom for people to be honest and just use the pronoun “I” when talking about themselves.

the forums represent a minor amount of the wow population, and they’re not even a good case to draw from as far as representation as a whole for anything in this game due to that, the varying degree in difficulties the people here engage with, and the fact that you wouldn’t even come to the forums if you were overall satisfied to begin with
just as no one makes a yelp account to post good reviews, no one logs on to the wow forums to sing praises about the game
bring your own research next time, either way
or don’t
i don’t expect someone posting on a lv12 alt to be genuine in their intent or discourse either way

Idk i’m having fun with it as Herb/alchy.

Rofl. That is what we have for verification. Would you mind polling this topic by spamming trade channel? How about we all not use what is available to discuss topics to express our opinion.

Also, stop being such an elitist with your judgemental comments.
