So I love playing WoW on my MacBook because man the colors are so rich and its so bright.
Any external displays give the same level of richness that yall use for Mac? I know they have like weird scaling things.
The thing you have to keep in mind is Apple displays have a glossy finish. This is what makes an Apple display pop out. This has been the standard since forever. However, some of the products now offer a matte finish as an option.
Apple currently offers two external displays. But they are very pricy. You will be hard pressed to find a non-Apple brand with glossy glass.
Having said all that, I have an LG 27" 144Hz that I have been very pleased with.
You will likely want to look at higher end monitors. Most computer screens and gaming monitors are relatively cheap, even if they have high resolution. They are designed for high frame rates and typically don’t stress high quality highly vibrant colors. Look at higher end monitors, which are not necessarily crazy expensive, but more which are designed of graphic artists, not gamers.
Apple makes a 32 inch monitor, the Pro Display XDR, which is crazy expensive, and likely worth the price for the right people, but not the monitor most of us will need or really make use of. Look at monitors that are compared with it, there are likely quite a few that are close to the quality, that are a lot more reasonably priced, though realize all will be signifigatnly more then your generic cheap gaming monitors, but a lot more reasonable then the apple monitor.
