Display settings not showing up in 3.4.2

With the new patch, 3.4.2, for some reason i don’t see display settings on the Mac client. I run 1 additional monitor, which is connected via USB-C, sometimes 2. But after this latest patch, for some reason, I don’t see the display settings to allow me to select a different screen to view. Please advise.

I have a MacBook Pro M1 running Mac OS 13.4

I am also getting a LUA error

I’m having this exact issue. Can’t move the game from one monitor to another, no graphics settings available.

Same here same issue

and sound in game seems to not wanna work either, can still play but no sound and no “settings” tab is available. Even disabled all mods

Worst part about this is that the issue was present in the PTR and was never resolved. Hopefully it gets fixed soon though as I have to use 50% scaling when not docked on my M1 Max MacBook to maintain 120fps.

Same issue for me. Pretty weird not being able to change any display settings!

Having the same issue,

If you go into your WTF folder and look at the Config.wtf file, the setting which controls which monitor it shows up on is called “gxMonitor” you can define it by the number of the monitor, or if you just want it to be set to the primary monitor, delete the line.

Thanks for your reports, everyone! We are investigating this issue and we’ll share updates in this thread as they become available.

Just want to say thanks for resolving the issue! Looks like its working now.

Not sure why I had the settings last night and this morning they are gone again.

Have you guys tried pressing COMMAND-M to run game (small) Windowed, move it and see if you can do anything in Sys Settings and in-game

i’m getting the same LUA error about NOTCHED_DISPLAY_MODE every time i start the game.

also, more importantly, i DO NOT SEE ANY DISPLAY SETTINGS

i can’t change any graphics settings, change the resolution, or change the game to windowed mode…

blizz what the hell have you done?!?

+1 for another user experiencing this issue. No display/video settings available and I get the LUA error about NOTCHED_DISPLAY_MODE

I am getting the same issue.

HC classic ptr has the same issue present - cannot see or edit the display settings. An error about the notch is shown instead. Using a M1 Pro MacBook 2021.

I just discovered having this issue on my macbook m1 as well. I hadn’t used this device to play yet but while traveling it comes in handy, but now I can’t see or change my graphics setting in-game.

Using a MacBook Pro 2021 as well, Apple M1 Max.

Still have the same issue cannot change graphics settings in game.

Hi, Skelgarer, any updates on this issue? It’s frustrating to not be able to adjust display settings in any version of WoW (Retail, WoTLK, Classic)

Hey everyone,

This is still on the team’s radar and the LUA error is a known side effect. We don’t have an ETA on a fix, but we’ll continue to post any new info we get here.
