Because you, as a single player, are bringing 5x the damage and survivability of a single player. If you’re being outplayed by a single player as someone with 5 characters, then that’s a massive skill gap.
I’m not saying it’s impossible for a single far superior player to beat a far inferior player that is multi boxing- but it’s a very clear advantage when you can set up a macro to instantly kill anyone.
Ultimately- nobody’s going to stop you, Blizz hasn’t done anything about it for 15 years so they aren’t now. But, you’re not going to get any non-boxers on your side, because you are paying more money for a distinct advantage, regardless of how you frame it- and most players will rightfully despise you for it.
And frankly, if you’re honestly trying to argue you don’t have an advantage over other players by boxing- you deserve even more scorn for being deceitful about something everyone knows is deceitful.
You don’t pay for epic gear, you don’t pay for higher levels (except in retail), you don’t pay to be better at the game.
But a 5 boxer pays 75/month to dish out 5x more damage than someone paying 15/month. Anyone that doesn’t have a hard on for boxing can see that’s pay 2 win.
You could literally say this to justify anything. Its actually hilarious how you guys still puke out the same tired lines that people meme about, with complete obliviousness, 15 years later. Like holy dear god do you have no actual self awareness when typing this.
It takes 5 players a great deal of communication and coordination to do what you do with a single keystroke. In a competitive environment, like a BG or a PvP server it is definitely an “UNFAIR” advantage. Even on a PvE server it gives you an unfair advantage to farming. WHY does any of this matter? How do gold farmers and leveling services do their thing… you guessed it, Multi boxing. Can you see why Blizzard should ban it?
The mere fact that you need it explained to you tells me alot about you. You want to WTFPwn everything in your path, that makes this whole enterprise an empowerment fantasy, but instead of playing Skyrim with cheat codes you have to ruin the collective “Good Time” of as many strangers as you can. Yep says a great deal about YOU as a person.
You know a MMORPG is meant to bring GROUPS of individuals together, working to a common goal all while socializing. Just thought I would mention that, in case you didn’t understand that.
My man, know your demographic. Who do you really think is complaining about multiboxing? People with lots of disposable cash or people with no cash? $800 is incredibly expensive to someone with no disposable income. Those that are complaining will simply never understand.

You me and 3 others can think through 5 separate independent things at the same time, still communicate and coordinate, and yet take independent unpredictable action.
Mob farming etc on the other hand, a little hard to compete as we all 5 need stuff, for the mboxer, most likely only the brain does.
I can see your point in the way of being far more flexible BUT they also unerringly do what one person wishes them to do. They can target and basically vaporize a specific player…say a healer.
They intentionally allow Multiboxing in arenas. That should tell you everything about their thoughts on the issue, as well as disprove the meme that it gives you a competitive advantage
