So, as a priest I do sometimes need to dispell a negative effect. That i’ve gotten down, it’s not that hard. However, its when I have dispell a positive effect from an enemy that things get awkward. The way i’m doing is wading my mouse into the chaos of the fight and trying to click on the monster DBM told me to dispell… but sometimes there’s more than one of the same monster in the trash pack.
I know there has to be a better way. What is it?
Yeah, that’d work but for when I want to cast Purify is there some mod/way to snap to the one I want to remove?
You can try tab targeting (good luck!) or perhaps setting your UI to show target of target (this is a good idea anyway) and then you can easily target whatever your friendly heal target is targeting.
When I play a priest I also always like to setup a help:harm macro for dispel magic and purify, so that one button serves both purposes depending on your target.
Well, first of all, Purify and Dispel are two different spells.
Second, you could always tab target rapidly until you see a mob with a dispellable debuff. I’m pretty sure a mod auto-selecting a target for you falls under the no-no category for Blizzard.

That would all come down to your unit frames. I am pretty sure there are some where you can have it show dispellable/stealable buffs as well as your own applied debuffs over (or below) their healthbar.

Get a UI that shows you mobs with abilities cast on them that you can dispel, and have that be out there in your face, right above their heads.
Preferably something with good casting information for interrupts, too.

You can put the dispellable buffs on the enemy unit frames and have a mouseover macro. Hover over the target, hit Dispel Magic with mouseover macro. No targeting needed.
Tab works too but might have to cycle through a lot of them in certain areas
I use vuhdo addon, I could focus the boss by right clicking the boss frame and it would lock that frame into a little healing box that shows my target or private tank in it. I just mouse over the box and click the button I bind the purify to and it would work.
I use KuiNameplates:
https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/kuinameplates
It shows the icon over their nameplate when an enemy has a buff I can dispel.
Well I’m assuming it’s this plugin that’s doing it, not really sure, it might be a weakaura too (sorry I’ve had that set-up for a long time, not 100% on how I added it in the first place).
Thank you for the responses. I will do so.
