Dispeling?

Any advice on that?
We have 2 spells. Expunge does poison and magic. Cauterize does all Except magic.
Half of the time i use the wrong spell, so im just wasting time pressing 2 buttons instead of 1.
Am i the only one with this issue. Honestly i just skip dispelling and pray my heals will do enough

Just take some more time to get used to it. I made sure they weren’t overly similar keybinds for just that reason. There are definitely keys where you will actively be a detriment if you aren’t dispelling. I’d say get used to Expunge first since it’s the baseline short-CD dispel, and then once you are comfortable, start looking for places to add Cauterize on top of that.

I use Vuhdo for Raid frames and that makes very easy to identify what type of debuff they have…

I have my own personal settings but I think it does it by default (not 100% sure though) so what it does is that it will change the frame and name colors based on the type of effect they are affected with so you instantly know what type it is and with that what spell to use if you want to remove it.

For example I think magic turns the frame to dark-blue, poisons is some tone of green, etc… Even things like mind controlled targets are easily spotted.

I haven’t played Evoker that much (just tested it a bit in pre-patch) but I’m pretty confident that would work, the downside I’d say is that Vuhdo is a bit difficult to set-up initially since it has A LOT of options, but it’s great once you know your way around it.

You also have to note you can echo cauterising flame but not the poison dispell as there is no heal attached.

This means you can clear a whole teams debuffs

We actually have 3. Naturalize dispells magic and poison.

Expunge also only dispels poison.

You are making your life Harder, by not dispelling. Generally I dispel tanks first, but that changes if I have someone squishy in the group.

I second the Person who mentioned Vuhdo, i use it and feel it makes my life as a healer infinitely better. By Default, peoples raid frames change colors when there is something to Dispel. Then you can just setup an action like (right-click) and it will cast dispel on that target. Its really customizable and can get really detailed if you are into that, so I simply go default with a few changes.

If Clique still works? it will do the same thing with dispelling, but vuhdo is much better.

You’ve got several options with addons to make dispelling easier. I used Grid for years to heal, just been using default frames in DF so far, but you can separate debuffs to separate corners of the raid frame.

So, for example, you could put Poison and Magic debuffs to the bottom left frame of party members and put bleed, curse, and disease debuffs to the bottom right frame. There’s easier options since Grid required a lot of setup but I liked having that much control over the UI at the time.

You’re going to want to figure it out sooner rather than later. You can’t just brute force your way through some dispel mechanics like the final boss of Jade in m+

But Unless its Changed, with Grid you can just click on the Frame and Auto Dispel without really thinking about it. You need either Mouseover Macros or another addon.
