Is there a way to return to how it used to be, where I select the server to see the character list, rather than there just being an unorganized list of all my characters and their realms at the side? Its very strange.

you can drag and drop toons to where in the list you want them if that helps out
Not presently. Probably QoL changes to organization are planned for later patches.
Yeah, it’s kinda strange. Maybe try selecting the specific server again?
edit- Nah, that didn’t work. Characters from other realms still showing on the list. Pretty silly.

Yeah, this is awful for anyone with a large alt list. Even just a couple autofilters for sorting by level, name, or realm would be a big help.
Also, why can I collapse my Favorites, but not my everyone else?

I guess my issue is… when I select a server, I don’t want to see ALL my characters from all my servers listed. I only want to see the characters on that server of which I’ve selected to go to. Because its just very confusing when I look at the selection list.

Yup already hate it. I see all my characters from every server now in one list. I use to have alliance and horde characters on different servers for the reason of clear sorting. Even twinks now in my list is making it annoying. Edit also thought warbands would be per server so I could select my four favorite per server not over all.

I want to sort first by level, then by server.
I should just delete most of them as I don’t play them anymore.

THIS exactly! Its as if they didn’t take into account that players would use different servers for different reasons as a form of organization.

I seem to be able to manually sort my character list but there seems to be no order to them at all by default. I really do not want to have to drag them up and down one at a time until its back to order it was in. There needs to be some kinds of sorting tool more than just a name search.
And somewhat related has anyone figure out how to set you “favorite” characters? Mine just appear to be the last 4 I logged into last night
yea, you just drag and drop them into the slots.
I do like this feature, as someone that tends to main 3-4 characters each season.
The issue is, as another person here pointed out, you can’t have a different favorite list per realm. Its only one for your whole account, not for each realm.

Yup, as I see it now all my twinks and most my alts are dead. Being before the shortest path was select server then see the list I want. Now I either have to scroll forever to find what I want or search for the name keep a spreadsheet to keep track of what characters are what. Also that I have the same name on multiple servers. That even look the same. So now I have to hover over each to see which server they belong to. Really annoying to say the least. I can only imagine the OCD crowd is having a panic attack right now.

Same problem for me, I have the same name of some characters on 16 realms (and they all wear the same xmog), so I literally have to search the name, and than hover over each one until I find the one I want (and that realm text isn’t the easiest to read). What a terrible system.

I really feel bad for you. I hope they have a option soon to revert it to the way it was. My friend tomorrow will have the same issue. Sure I will be seeing some panic messages via discord.
A bigger problem that some of you should address may be hoarding or focus issues if you have more than like 5 active characters.
Maybe you should focus on you vs what others do with their time. I could care less how you play wow, as it doesn’t affect me, and how I play doesn’t affect you.

I have five mains on alliance and horde at level and fully geared. I have several bank alts and a twink for every class on both sides. Been playing since 2004 so makes sense to me. Still annoying as f now
