Disenchanting should give back some mats too, along with the magical shards and stuff. Not like a 1 for 1, but just like…a little bit.
If I’m putting 300g worth of mats in, I should get at least that back.
Since the price of mats fluctuates with the market, it would be impossible to make sure you got the same value back

However, I do think that that…300+ osmenite should like…return a lil osmenite when it’s disenchanted, y’know?
Same with Shadowghast ingots. Those are just hard to make.
I guess the assumption is that the process of magically disenchanting something ultimately destroys the item.
…however…Ive been disenchanting things for as long as DE has been a thing…thousands upon thousands of items. You’d think I would get a little better at it or try and improve the process to, maybe, not totally destroy the item while simply removing the enchantment.
