Disdain for solo oriented / activities / play on the forums

Technically my point, people say it will take from the pool, but it is just an excuse. People want to do group activities and the only thing that will keep them from doing so is the community, not solo activities. And when there is nothing to do they quit the game altogether making that pool smaller anyways. The way I see it, whether they group up or not they are paying for the game which is good for everyone.

I do not think that, please do not make up things about me.

Im just gonna ignore your trolling now…

Welcome to the “sort of but not really ignored by Liolang” club.

It’s not very exclusive.

Whats the difference if doing raids for 600ilvl gear or doing a month long quest for the same exact gear by 1 person? I drive semi truck and dont get a lot of time in one setting or a very good internet connection. Why shouldnt i be allowed to get that gear OR VERY CLOSE TO IT just by doing a series of quests that would take the same amount of time as raiding? Or even longer. But give me that chance to

I’m competing with myself, or rather my ideal and belief of what I think I’m capable of.

It doesn’t compute to me that the only way you can justify the idea of wanting to do harder content is to lord it over someone else.

There’s still all the neckbeards who think they’re cool by “managing” a guild/raid group. By allowing people gear on par with their raid group while not having to partipate with their group, discord and schedule Blizzard is removing how important and special they (think they) are.

I did. I got ce with them.

What’s your excuse?

I understand what you’re saying. I am trying to understand

What about making max level solo content focused around mastering your class. Like the old acquisition for “of the Black Harvest” Title.

Meaning, quest lines that slowly reward upgrade mats culminating in Delves that test your knowledge of your class to earn the gear worth using those upgrade mats on. Yea, you won’t get new gear throughout the questline, but upon completion you will get a new piece or two that offer a substantial upgrade to your power. But to take it a step further, have solo Delves scales seasonally. So you need to complete your season 1 stuff to have the power to do season 2 and so on. That way, solo players can feel power gains throughout the expansion and have solo content paralleling the main story. Like my solo questline results in something that is used in the raid tier by group players. So you can feel like your contributing to the main story without being forced into group content.

I’m not saying make raid tiers into solo Delves for solo players, I’m saying allow solo players to do quests with each tier that end with acquiring an item for the faction. That is then, separately, used in the current raid.

I’ll end by saying I understand this is basically adding a second game within the game. But, it gives solo players a reason to play the entire expansion for GAINS, without forcing them into content they don’t want to play, while also not forcing raid/dungeon teams into solo content for gains. As the questline but would make it inefficient for raid teams to gain their power in that manner as the questline would stretch the entire season

I think this is the problem with this, making solo content that challenges the individual skillsets and abilities of each class and spec is a ridiculous amount of work.

I think part of why delves undershoot slightly and cap out at hero track, with farmable champion track, is Blizzard didn’t feel confident providing an equally challenging experience for every spec and class. What is hard for a blood DK in a delve might end up being near impossible for something like a rogue for example, even with Bran attempting to equalise.

I hope that delves succeed and set the ball rolling for more focused and curated solo content, that is able to offer these higher level rewards. But I understand why Blizzard chose to err on the side of caution this time around.

The forums are what they are. You can write a script/piece of code/etc. to parse all of the posts (disdain plus solo …) and extrapolate some data. I play solo most of the time because I love the quests, but I love team play also for bgs, dungeons and Pre-mades. If they could tune the game exactly to me, well, that would be great. I do like content for solos, yet i go with teams for better rewards.

Then why isn’t the game nothing but raids?

You’re fooling yourself if you think endgame raiding is the sum of WoWs parts, there’s nothing wrong with the devs branching out or trying something new to try teasing new blood into that content that is obviously struggling.

I mean I don’t really care, if I really wanted CE or Mythic raiding, I would’ve chased it but I don’t want it and I don’t find it fun.

That’s just how things go.

WoW raiding isn’t revolutionary or groundbreaking in the gaming industry, if it was then it’d be used more as a selling point in other modern games or media.

Sooner or later you’ll have to let go of a past that’s already objectively gone.

This is why there shouldn’t be difficulty gate keeping on gear.
Doing “easier” content should reward the same ilvl as the hardest - just take substantially longer to get.
A bad player with good gear doesn’t effect any good player, yet they desperately try to gate keep gear from “Bads”.

Why?
So they can sell boosts to them and keep their irl bills paid!

You also aren’t good(can’t even get duelist?), so you shouldn’t be calling other players bad.

I promise you, group content players engaging in high difficulty stuff don’t think about solo players :joy:

and his point is pointless.
60% ‘at some level’ is meaningless.
I do LFR ON OCCASION, so by his jokish views, I MUST be a raider, while the fact is you could remove raiding and that type of end game content entirely and Id still be playing WoW. lol

derailing threads is a trolling violation

spot on target, it would seem lol

Thank goodness they don’t look unless it’s a direct reply to them, like they tried to prove with their imgur links. Otherwise they might derail the thread by talking about how we dare to be here.

Edit: :scream_cat:

I’m not sure what’s going on in here but I think blizzard knows how to cater to the multiple types of players they have. Play the way you like and don’t worry about anything else.
