I run a total of 8-10 Amirdrassil runs a week between normal and heroic with my many characters and I have noticed a very disturbing trend and have ben on multiple occasion irritated by it but lots of healers loot spec sniping prime DPS trinkets but its particular trinkets. Signet, Auguary and Suncaller, just this week alone I’ve seen it loot sniped by healers multiple times I lost it to a resto druid by 1 point on my evoker…every week I’ve lost it to healers.
Now while I understand its PUGS, how the loot system sadly works and what not. what I have and would like to discuss is what has happened to loot consideration, because DPS can’t roll “need” on HEALER trinkets but healers can do both. DPS either get off spec or can’t roll at all and DPS do not benefit from healer trinkets

Healer trinkets this season are pretty lame and uneventful - we don’t have another Rashok’s. The main stat on the DPS trinket might have been better itemization for them, and healers are incentived to DPS in some content, so they’ll see some benefit from having it.

This really is the worst season for healer trinkets, sorry. We’re going to snag things with dps benefit since none of the healing ones are worth using. The seed one? It looks good on paper but annoying as hell to utilise and unfun.

Sniping or needing for their actual DPS specs, because they aren’t actually healer mains? Or because healer trinkets aren’t interesting compared to DPS ones that can be used better?
There never has been any in pugs. People swapped specs in PL, as well, to do the same.

Pug healers are probably running pug raids for M+ BIS. I get better value out of DPS trinkets than healing ones in M+. Simple as that, really.
It’s actually insane in raids for classes like Castweaver where their channel turns it into a cheap, massive raid heal.

healers are using them. So why is it not for both? I want to add fyrakk’s tanking trinket to my collection, have to bribe someone I guess cause I heard it was good for m+

Dps trinkets in the raids are just too good that even healers and tanks want them.
If they’re gonna use it I don’t see any problem.
Even if it was for their offspec, if they put their loot spec to dps they will be able to roll on dps loot that’s just how it works.

This has always been a thing, tbh. Especially given times where they’re on both healing and dps loot tables.
This is really what it boils down to. If they’re getting used and they work well for healing and helping the raid, then there really isn’t an issue with the people. It’s a design issue from Blizz on the healing trinkets vs how good the DPS ones are.

I noticed this recently for the first time too.
A DPS needing and winning a healer trinket and leaving right after.
I was confused, thought maybe I saw it wrong, but now I’m certain of it.

I’d be really happy if tank/healer gear was a thing again but competition on gear will keep happening with current model as the tank and healer trinkets that are actually good for their role are only a few.
If that DPS has a healer spec, they literally can. You just seem to be salty that some healers don’t heal 100% of the time. You should probably get over it.

In my case, damage trinkets are in my loot pool as a healer.

Yea as far as tanking go I have to switch to dps loot spec, but to be fair it doesn’t change anything much and I’d much rather be able to roll tank+dps trinkets too as dps trinkets will also be used on my tank spec.
shouldn’t be for healer spec.

Sometimes healers use DPS trinkets in keys. I remember having to swap to Shadow loot spec for Resonant Reservoir. But it was a good trink in keys. A lot of damage for so little.
