With the essences going account wide next week you can go one step further to help the community. We are all being asked to socially distance ourselves. You are definitely going to have increased traffic on all your games. For a lot of people they are going to have work hours reduced, potential layoffs, more time at home, etc. Continue to be the leader in the gaming sector, deliver a % off your services. 10%, 20%, 50% anything, you do not have to give free game time away. Lighten the load for others in a time where things are grim. I am going to buy a character boost regardless and enjoy the extra time that I will have. Thank you and be safe everyone

Why? For the sub paid, you can already play every single hour of the day. Cheaper services isn’t going to help increase the amount of hours someone can play if they’re stuck home.
Stop trying to use a pandemic to get cheaper stuff. It’s gross.

Why would they put a discount on services when they’re in demand? Usually you put things on sale when people don’t want them, to drive up interest, or when there’s competition from another vendor. Obviously nobody else is selling in-game WoW services, and they’re not high-profile enough to draw in outside audiences the way that, say, free game time might. (Not that I expect them to do that either.)
But honestly, with more people looking to stay indoors, all internet-based entertainment needs to do to make money hand over fist is stay up and running. The only way Blizzard can lose here is if the servers go down.

IMO, the only people who should be given discounts/free game time are the people who are in extended quarantine and can prove it, but even then, asking for freebies is kind of ridiculous. The way the economy is going, a lot of businesses are going to be suffering, so asking them for handouts is pretty much asking them to potentially take on more financial losses.

ISP around here lifted all monthly data limits , small gesture like that do make good publicity overall , some people are basicly few weeks without any income because of this .
And in what way does this help people stuck at home because of a pandemic? None. Ok, let’s move on.

Interestingly, in 2009, 2012, 2014… every major convention, concert, large company gathering, etc in the world didn’t get closed down.
I’m pretty sure their marketing dept is well aware of how much they would make if they lowered the cost. The reason behind the price is so people don’t use them. They don’t want you to use them.
Hey Blizz, people are going to be getting less in their paychecks to support themselves, so why not make non-essential items cost less to entice these people(most likely vulnerable due to depression/stress) to spend their lessened paychecks and put more money in your coffers!!!
To reiterate in larger letters so people don’t miss it…

You may not even be able to imagine the impact here - this is going to be very, very expensive. The short term costs and productivity loss as you transition thousands of employees to WFH is going to be huge.
Probably not the ideal time to reduce revenue.

I mean, if that’s true, it wouldn’t be on there, available to buy and use.

Most of those services were added because players wanted them. (Players also said they’d be willing to pay a lot for them) I’ll see if I can find the post they made about it, though I think it was on the first version of these forums so may be gone.
Blizzard added the premium services at a premium price as a deterrent/to cause a pause for thought. They want players to stay on their servers and with their chosen race.
But if you absolutely want to change, the option is there. It’ll just come with a price. It use to come with a long cd, that people complained about enough that they were lowered.
