For anyone else running across this issue:
I just started playing wow again, and for some reason, discord audio would break. My mic stops working, discord voice audio stops, and discord push-to-talk sounds stop. Leaving the channel and rejoining would resolve it, but it was happening too much to use that as a fix.
I did some research and found similar issues before linked to the discord overlay causing problems. I saw that this has been patched and is no longer a problem. (my overlay was already disabled, so this was not the case for me.
Several people are reporting this issue on Blizzard’s forums, Reddit, and Microsoft support.
I tried to find a way to disable wow voice settings completely, but I could not just shut it off entirely. I did notice that the wow voice push-to-talk was set for my Tilda key. This is my execute hotkey as well.
I moved the wow push to talk hotkey to a button I never use (scroll lock) and have had no more issues. It seems to spam execute and push to talk in wow was breaking discord.
