Disconnects and deserted debuff

So, the past few night, there were stability issues with Blizzard’s servers. So I was disconnected at the beggining of a dungeon and when I could log back in, I had the deserter debuff, and I couldn’t queue for a dungeon. I opened a ticket and got this answer… While I have no problem of getting the debuff if the connection error is on my side (internet problems), but when it’s caused on Blizzard’s side, I don’t understand why I’m being punised. Your server have stability issues and it’s annoying enough, don’t go and punish players on top of that.

Here’s the answer I got :

Hello there!
Game Master Oloetyaesa (or you can call me Oloe) here to help you today. Thank you for contacting us, and I hope your day is treating you well!

It is my understanding that you are having issues with the Deserter Buff after a disconnect in game.
Please note that a disconnection may lead to a Deserter debuff. This debuff prevents a character for queuing for whatever type of instance they were removed from and it is intended game design.
This debuff can only be removed by waiting out the timer. The timer will continue to tick down even if the character is offline. Customer Support do not have the ability to alter or remove this timer once it has been applied to a character.
