Disconnecting when reporting players

Either the complaint doesn’t register or you get disconnected when reporting someone. Sick of this problem being everlasting.

It’s bad enough you guys barely do crap about it, at least when I do, it should work.

I have not had issues reporting players. What do you mean by “the complaint doesn’t register”?

For disconnections, first try resetting your UI Resetting the WoW User Interface - Blizzard Support. If it still happens, file a bug report.

Blizzard does do things about reports. We see posts regularly from players complaining about being punished. You will very rarely see something done immediately. All reports are investigated and that takes time.

Getting disconnected like that can also be an add-on causing problems. Making sure they are all up to date is also something to look into.

I re-installed wow last week, I didn’t download addons most of the week. This was still an issue without addons. Noted though.

Sometime it bugs due to the target going out of range or moving to a different phase. Make a post in Bug Reports

Yeah I hear a ton of reasons why it happens but it hasn’t stopped happening for years… Reported it in bug reports during cata soo forgive me If i’m not as enthusiastic about it.

CS doesn’t fix bugs. QA does. Bugs report is best suited for this

No it isn’t. The system works and players are reported and actioned everyday. If you are being disconnected then it is either a UI issue or a bug. It isn’t something that effects all (or even a majority of players), this isn’t a CS issue.

Just because you say it’s a Customer service issue doesn’t make it one. This is the Customer Support forum. You are talking about a bug. That would go in Bug Reports. QA does not take bug reports from the Customer Support forum and the SFAs here are not liaisons with them.

I did post an answer to this in the second post in this thread. There are two things to try. Reset your UI. If that doesn’t work, file a bug report.

You don’t get to dictate who posts in these threads. If you use your criteria, you shouldn’t post on it either.

Then file a bug report.

Yes a Blue actually has chimed in, they said they haven’t been able to recreated the bug. I will discuss whatever the heck I feel like, and I do know what I’m talking about. I’m telling you information that has been given by Blues on this forum. A fresh windows install on a new account doesn’t mean anything when it comes to a UI issue.

However it seems that all you want to do now is attack others so I will simply be reporting your posts and no longer responding, not getting roped into an argument.

FYI, using alts to spam report an hide my post is against the CoC. You want to attack me like that it isn’t going to end well for you. I didn’t threaten you at all. You are attacking other posters and me. All I did was tell you what I was going to do. I didn’t attack you nor threaten you.

and here we are in the bug report forum, where this belonged.

Why do you need a Blue post? Also, they can’t move threads to the appropriate forum if they post in them. QA normally only posts if they need more information.

To confirm it’s a bug that’s being worked on, since it’s been a problem for more than six months. Because as it seems right now they just don’t care about fixing it.

Since when is there a time-limit on bugs

Why do you personally need a Blue to post on it? Just because it’s happening now doesn’t mean it has the same cause the last time it happened. It doesn’t mean they haven’t worked on it. They are not going to give you updates on its status.

It’s random. It doesn’t happen to everyone. Both of those factors makes it hard if not impossible to reproduce. If they can’t reproduce it, they can’t track what is causing it. It makes it hard if not impossible to fix. If it’s posted in the Bug Report forum, or you filed a bug report in-game, then they know about it. You don’t need a post.

QA does not have time to update every player about every bug that is reported. You want a reply, you don’t need one.

Totally ignorant response. Just because it isn’t fixed doesn’t mean they don’t know about it. It doesn’t mean they aren’t working on it. Bugs are triaged. The more players affected by a bug, the higher it’s priority. Game-breaking bugs have priority over ones that are more annoying. QA does not work to your schedule. As you don’t know exactly what is causing the bugs, you are not in any position to say how long it will take to fix them. Random bugs are harder to find and take longer to fix. Months or years, not days or weeks.
