Disconnecting from the Server and unable to interact 100% with every feature of DragonFlight Expansion

There has been a number of issues that go back and forth for me every day or so:

  • The game struggles to connect to the server sometimes getting stuck at 50% load.

  • The screen sometimes appears as black, then after 30 seconds loads all characters on my account.

  • When i click the Realm list button it says its loading then crashes

  • When loading up any character, it gets to 80%, freezes, then loads in, upon being active for less than a minute, there is a disconnection.

  • When up on a character, the quests for any given area on the map are not highlighted on the minimap or tracked in the quest log.

  • I cannot accept quests from certain NPCs/Qustgivers, and its not consistent on every character - when I managed to switch - even logging out and back in doesn’t solve it.

  • Dungeon Finder does not react to any que request, there is no denial, approval, or reflection, but when you spam the button it responds with “you are going to fast”.

  • Raid Finder has the same issue as Dungeon Finder.

  • Strangely pvp arena finder works in the response, however when the approve goes through and I select to enter, the game freezes when loading at 30% and disconnects.

  • Using hearthstones between loam and anywhere outside loam disconnects the game. This applies the same to Mage portal spells and Valdrakken Portals to faction hubs.

  • Logging out to switch between characters causes the character screen to load as back and un-interactive, then the game disconnects back to the load screen

I have tried all the fixes recommended, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game 6 times (so its not my internet), I’ve scanned for corrupt files, disabled windows security, uninstalled any vpn, reset my interface, deleted my addons, reset my internet, changed to mobile data…nothing seems to work.

Is there a solution that can be utilized, hopefully something new

WoW is installed on a proper hard drive, right? Not an external hard drive or an USB key?

yes, I’ve had wow on the same computer and hard drive since the start of BFA

You have awful “worst” pings from before even leaving your neighborhood. Don’t know why you get no response from host on the 2nd and 4th hop.

I would change your DNS to Google or Cloud Flare and try WinMTR again.

If ping is still shooting up randomly then reach out to your ISP cause its awful before even leaving your neighborhood.

Got got instant packet loss on that one so very easily could be local issue and just didnt show up on the last one. ISP issue regardless. Very slim chance you have a bad NIC or Router or Modem.

I posted this in another thread that was not quite the right one. This thread here summed up my issues almost perfectly. I made sure everything was up to date and finally broke down and reinstalled the game yesterday, still same issues. Today I tried just logging out of the launcher and back in, ran a quick scan and repair from the launcher to be safe and it did do a quick update. I got the patch notes popping up for the first time. I just played for an hour straight and did about 30 quests with no issues. Previously, I couldnt go more than 2-3 quests without having to relaunch the game.

Hope this helps someone
