Has anyone else had any issues with disconnecting sometimes when opening a profession window? Has happened to me a few different times today and wasn’t sure if there was a known cause for this or if anyone else is encountering it.

This has been happening to me and my wife regularly over the last couple of days. Sometimes is fine for long stretches, other times I’ll get disconnected a half dozen times over an hour while doing a bunch of crafting. It always happens when I open the window. The window pops up, there’s a brief pause, and then it kicks me out to the “You’ve been disconnected” screen, and I can click the reconnect button. Come back in and it works - for a while at least.

Yes. The second time I accessed the engineering table, it had that abrupt stop similar to the disconnects in SL. The ones where I was flying fast, landed in front of the mission table and got booted.
That persisted the entire expansion until the very end. I’m optimistic that this will be addressed sooner.

That’s exactly what’s been happening to me lately. Sometimes I can open the profession UI with no problems at all. Other times, as soon as I open it, the game freezes for a second and then I’m back to the login screen.
Same thing happens to me about 25% of the time when I open any profession window.
The pattern I’ve noticed… This never happens from just opening the profession window.
It appears that anytime we open the Order Crafting table, and then attempt to open the Profession after you leave the table, I get disconnected every time.
It’s been happening to me too as of the past two days. Where it seems to occur is when you’re interacting with the crafting table at your professions post in Valdrakken. When you leave the post and then attempt to open your profession panel, you’ll be disconnected.
The solution I found for that situation seems to be to ignore the crafting table. Instead of interacting with it at all, open up your profession menu via the skill/button you can place on a hotbar, gotten from the spellbooks profession tab. Being close enough to the table will let you interact with the crafting order tab still. Then if you close it and run off and then reopen the panel, you shouldn’t disconnect. I could be wrong on some of this, though. I try not to intentionally disconnect myself, y’know?

I made a fix for this, see: Found a consistent disconnect that happens with the Work Order System, and wrote a micro-addon workaround
It happens because you close the crafting table while on the work order page and then open your professions again while not near the table. The game freaks out since you can’t normally view the work order page while not near the table. So you get DCd.
Until they hotfix it just make sure to toggle to your main crafting page when you leave your crafting bench.

I switch between a lot of professions all day. I have gotten dced by just opening the profession window without touching the crafting table. That’s with me click on the profession within the first 20 seconds of logging in and not even being near one. This was not happening at all until the reset happened this week. Hopefully it gets fixed soon. I have gotten dced like 20 times today.
Im in the same boat.
Constant disconnects. It occurs when you just open the professions or switching between profession tabs.
Very frustrating especially when talking to people about what they want me to make.
Adding my experience as well. I am constantly getting disconnects either opening my own professions or other players professions. It gets frustrating when you are trying to level up, especially leatherworking as competition is fierce!
That’s been exactly my experience. The little pause then a hard DC. It makes it difficult to do blacksmithing because sometimes I’ll get dc’ed right in the middle of a conversation with a customer. It’s VERY frustrating.
Same here - it’s been getting steadily worse over the last few days.
I was joking to my friend about it because it seemed to only be affecting him, but now I’m disconnecting more than he does whenever I open my panel.
I wonder what, if anything, changed? Recipe count? Number of panels unlocked? Spaghetti code?
