Discipline's prayer of mending needs a buff

I run prayer of mending for disc and I think it deserves a buff. Currently with 80% mastery the highest hit i have seen was 35k as a holy priest it can hit as high as 50k or more. Please show disc prayer of mending some love.

I don’t believe that PoM on Disc is actually intended to be powerful compared to Holy who has 8 talents supporting it. There’s really no reason to use PoM when Atonement does far more healing.

If PoM bounced around and refreshed/extended atonement then I think it would be worthwhile.

To be fair, holy’s prayer of mending SHOULD hit more because it’s one of its main sources of healing. Disc has atonement for its main throughput

I remember back in my day when POM was Disc Priest’s spell not these holy noobs.

I’ll agree on the condition that it hits even harder as Holy and Holy Renew ticks as hard as Disc Renew while untalented, although that may be due to mastery.

PoM was added in BC and it was a Holy/Disc spell.

I remember when PoM didn’t have a cooldown.

That was BC in a nutshell. 300+ casts of CoH a boss fight.

Was even more dumb when CoH got smart AI healing.

I remember chatting on the forum with Ghostcrawler during WOTLK and talking about them putting a cd on it.

yes it should give attonment too

I don’t know what renew does for holy (I’ve only healed as disc, honestly) but it’s nothing to celebrate as disc. We really just use it to apply atonement, and it’s an easy way to oom during prog raiding if you overuse it. It heals for a pitiful amount despite being a hot.

But in TBC everyone was Holy priest and pom was good for both specs.
In wrath PoM was mainly a Holy priest ability as the spec had talents that increased the effectiveness of it and then in future expansions PoM ended up as Holy trademark.

PoM has been more relevant for Holy than for Disc since the origins of the spell

I hate pve players they think raiding is the gameplay. POM was insane for disc in arena now it’s pity full on a spec that doesn’t heal enough.

Looking at check pvp the highest you’ve been is duelist this season and last season, so maybe drop the pretension act. You’re not that good.

It’s just a fact that for the vaaaaast majority of the wow player base pvp is a side game. While I don’t agree with it as I also enjoy pvp, the devs prioritize pvp according to that. Talking about its pve history is much more relevant to most players than a niche pvp use.

Check PVP tuckbudford-tichondrius not my 5th account this xpack buttercup.

In which case it’s still more relevant to disc then holy that just spammed COH constantly.

The worst thing that ever happened to priest was listening to PVE players and making it an atonement spec, it’s the reason Disc is the only classic healer to never win a blizzcon and have 0% pick rate in AWC. The spec needs throughput buffs and mana buffs. POM being a low mana cost throughput spell … Well it’s obvious isn’t it the premise of this thread is correct.

Ok “buttercup”. Good luck grinding past duelist in 2s in a game that 99% of players play for pve, I’m sure that will finally bring you fulfillment in life.

A rival player calling a X10 Gladiator and 3200 xp player trash this is why blizzard doesn’t co-design the game with players because you’re all exceptionally moronic.

Trust me bro I’m r1 on my other 4 accounts.

Or I just haven’t taken pvp seriously since wotlk, much like blizzards dev team. Again, good luck hitting your first gladiator. I’m sure you will feel validated and like you’ve accomplished something in life.

You could just drop the condescension that doesn’t really track since you can’t hit glad, though.

Acutally the check PVP account was my highest the other 3 accounts I got banned this xpack as well as this one weren’t as high. But yeah you’re actually trying to cover up the fact I just rinsed you for trying to call out someone more than double your rating XP.

Well you’re a maggot so I don’t think I will.

Well you should git gud if you want to act tough, because plenty of disc priests have gotten glad. Keep practicing!

You should break 2k - a really low bar - before you tell 3200 players to get good.
