Disc priests post your mythic plus builds for DF

sad cause i was going to toy with benediction and renewed faith in raids maybe early on

im willing to bet that holy will get a PoM in their tree somewhere in the development cycle.

After watching some Disc priest play in DF currently:

Level 60:

Level 70:

Seems to be the way to go for dungeons to me.

From what I can tell, Crystalline reflection isn’t working into atonement (even though it should), so that talent is pretty dead. Mana’s still a problem so the mana talents all seem pretty necessary. Mindgames is probably a must take, too as a result. Mind Blast seems really good now, but could probably remove the points in mind blast cooldown > mindbender attack speed.

SW:D into atonement is as good as you’d think, and Tithe evasion is actualy kinda good for us since the damage happens after the heal.

On the upside, wicked star and harsh discipline both look incredible (harsh discipline moreso and is probably gonna see a big nerf).

So better waste a talent in evang for dungeons for OP harsh discipline?

Kinda boring that harsh discipline is so strong…

SFP must not be proccing atonement either I guess…

Evang isn’t a WASTED talent in dungeons, it’s just not like an incredible one or anything. Harsh Discipline is really, really good right now though. Yeah.

SFP doesn’t contribute to atonement, I expected that though. SFP is still useful for damage, but there’s so many points that are useful in the general priest tree for Disc that I don’t know if it justifies spending 3 points on it. If I were to take it, I’d drop imp mind blast and masochism.

Honnestly evang is wasted. I’d need explaination on how it is of any use.

Otherwise, since spirit shell doesn’t replace rapture, I’d take that to pre-shield the group or something, at least I can find better use out of it in dungeon than evang… I can inderstand that harsh discipline is strong but taking evang in dungeon serves nothing when you have an option in the same node that have more use for a small group…

It’s an atonement extension. That’s useful in any content. Radiance → Evangelism will save you another radiance cast in several boss fights where the AoE damage is prolonged, or is followed by a second blast. It also will just save time re-applying in trash packs. There’s plenty of times in dungeon where I’ve got my group up to like ~80% with atonement about to fall off and have had to blow my second radiance charge, when I could have just casted an evangelism earlier.

I think Spirit shell can be good too - but it’s fight dependent, whereas evangelism is pretty much always useful at a baseline.

Either way, we’re looking very strong at 70.

Yeah i agree its not wasted, just a little weak. Im still going to look at SFP for the aoe damage tho and skimp on the utiilty. Obviously that may change once we are in there. I was hoping to not go into harsh discpline but if they dont nerf it then yes.

I feel tho with all the shadow feed back we may find SFP gets replaced.

Which would be fine, I think. SFP is a little clunky and strange to use.

And most likely whatever was in its place would be better for us on the whole, anyway. Same with Holy Word: Life if it got replaced.

From what I’ve seen in the alpha forums. SFP seems broken right now(for disc) Definetely going to be the goto for big pulls aoe dmg if it stays.

From reading the EU forums and alpha i think the spriests are saying it doesnt work well with what blizz is trying to do with shadow in their tree. Ive actually used the leggo in keys this xpac so i had fun with it, but yeah i wouldnt be upset if it was removed.

Me neither. I play shadow a bit myslef as one of my friends I play with also heal (so we switch it up in m+)

I just worry that our aoe options thin down to holy nova… sfp sounds like such a wonderful m+ option for healers. But I understand that it isn’t so great a tool for shadow…

As it stands CURRENTLY, we just don’t have time to cast holy nova.

From watching priests in alpha, we pretty much have to multi-dot. I don’t know if it’s intentional, since it’s not how the game works right NOW, but there’s a lot of random things happening in a bunch of class trees that are similar, so it might be intended:

Taking Purge the Wicked does not remove Shadow Word: Pain. And a tack on to that, is things that affect Shadow Word: Pain do not affect Purge the Wicked. Soooo to get our death throes benefit we need to be casting SW:P a lot. PTW spreads pretty fast now, thankfully, but it does turn us into a serious multidotter. SW:P, PTW and Wicked Star DoT on a pack of mobs is uh… a lot of numbers.

Yeah I saw that. I prefer to assume it’s not working as intented for potw. A bit boring to dot so much as a healer even if potw spreads more easily…

Otherwise, I wouldn’t mind using holy nova if it becomes at least equivalent to smite in attonement healing but it’s hard to imagine it will be up to the task… I guess we’ll see when the alpha/beta stabilises.

This is my favorite for disc M+

My comment there friend is the SWD reduction talent since your taking twilight empowerment. You could have SWD on like a 5 sec cd instead of 15 or whatever it is… I drinking and raids finished so i cbf checking

What you guys think of this one?

Presume this is a mythic plus build?

I would say SS doesnt get a play in keys. Hard to make use of it

You took twilight empopwerment but didnt drop the cd of SWD with rank 2?

Ah good point, I’ll have to pick the SWD reduction somehow, probably drop a point in Charitable Soul?

Yeah its for M+
