Disc priest MAGE TOWER

I am getting to the last phase every round but the 150% damage buff on the worm is weird to me… i don’t remember that at all. Has anyone beat it as disc yet?

Nope, lol, not having a reliable interrupt is fun lol, but am slowly whittling him down, while also trying to get the worm to run into the rocks to knock off scales. There is a lot going on at one time here lol

I don’t remember having trouble with that as Disc back in Legion, but it DID happen to me as BM then. If I hadn’t had the Feign Death leggo, I would’ve died while only the worm was left. Perhaps try getting the worm a bit lower before killing Feltotem?

This one was the easiest for me back then (see staff) and only took a few tries. Haven’t logged in yet to check.

i did it back in legion i dont remeber the totem guy hitting me for 3/4th of my hp. is this bugged?

The worm hits significantly harder post enrage now, it’s still doable but you have to whittle both Turgar and the worm down roughly at the same pace (After removing all 9 of his stacks). Turgar’s fel blast starts getting lethal around the 6-7 minute mark, by which point you should be able to have the worm under 50. wait for a worm cast to go out, push turgar over, pop everything you have and burn the worm making sure to have a mitigation cd up for each of the worms post enrage casts. Should be able to handle 3-4 of them before either you die or it does.

Again, much much much harder than it ever was in Legion, and I would definitely expect it to get nerfed, but doable, and if you enjoy that level of challenge not something to shy away from.

I was able to kill Turgar but the worm I just couldn’t handle.

By the time I killed him, worm was at 86% health and a 186% enrage. Sonic Blast hit me for 4k non crit.

I might have to make a full time walking cheese set. I was using my regular gear, but put the frag belt tinker from engineering on my belt for an extra interrupt for Turgar. Those fel blasts hurt, but was able to find a consistent interrupt rhythm. The frag belt is 1 minute cooldown and isn’t that bad.

I’ve gotten to the worm several times now, and full hp with rapture he is 1 shotting me. I am fully gemmed/enchanted/TW geared.

I see you guys are saying to hit both at the same time throughout encounter while trying to reduce his stacks. Yuck. Totem dude has a soft enrage as well, where you get more and more worms throughout the encounter the slower you kill him.

What a giant pain. I can’t deal with any more of this tedium tonight

I’ve killed Tugar after about 7-8 minutes, but the worm winds up 1-shotting me for 10.5k every time.

I am uploading a guide with a successful pull as I post this I will post it on this forum shortly maybe that will help you. I do go into detail in that phase.

You beat it? Like today? As disc priest? Yes please show me the video.

How low was the worm when you killed Tugar?

You basically have to get the worm as low as you can before tugar’s fel blasts become lethal, and chain PWS + DP + Masochism / Rapture / PS / Barrier for each enraged worm cast and kill it before it kills you.

After many attempts I finally completed it haha.

I had to change my gear a bit but its done. Prydaz for the stats and socket + neck enchant (Mark of Hidden Satyr), Psyche Shredder trinket from 8.3 Nyalotha, and Pocket Sized Computation Device trinket for the cyclo blast which is a huge DPS boost.

Used the engineering tinker on my belt for the frag bomb, as its an extra interrupt (on a 1 minute cooldown) which lines up perfectly with Psychic Scream on 30 sec with talent. Used 1 Spiritual Mana Potion, Shadowcore Oil, used BfA Intellect Flask, Drums for when I killed Tugar, Veiled Augmentation Rune, and that’s all.

I would say the moment I put on frag belt I did it in one try thanks to the guu above made it beyond easy. I had almost beaten it before using belt but you basically get to skip fel burst entirely.

A couple things that helped me beat it.

  1. Alternating between fear and mind bender + fade for Fel Blasts. Have your mindbender out and press fade before the Fel Blast cast starts. He will target the mindbender and you can just ignore it.

  2. Don’t dot the eggs and small worms. They can easily be aoe’d down with mind sear and divine star. You can drag the boss in the middle of the eggs and sear off him. This saves you tons of mana and can use dps options instead of mana pots.

  3. Be ready for a long fight. It took me 14 minutes. You have to dps them equally. I had the worm at 5% when I killed the tauren.

Oh my god, finally finished. Basically collapsed after.

I’m dead. Officially. Forever.

This… Changes… Nothing…

My strat for anyone who cares:

I dotted absolutely everything precisely (immediately halo + full sear after and positioned myself so I would never get the crummy stun), used Frag (engineering) belt for emergency interrupts, and made absolutely certain I was going to kill both (at the same time) before entering my burst phase. It is a little RNG for that last bit.

My trinkets were a Darkmoon Card: Promises (I’ve never seen anyone use it but I NEVER had to worry about mana), and a 2pce bonus with Waycrest Music Box/Ring.

And most importantly, I made absolutely sure that the dumb worm hit all the rocks in the beginning, so I could start killing him ASAP to avoid enrage timer.

It was a wonky strat, but for whatever reason it worked for me, didn’t like relying on fade.

Thanks for everyone and their tips here, it helped (and restored my faith in the light).

I have a 0% wipe just now >_> I know I’ll get it, but dang this fight is way too long.

I know how you feel… I have gotten so much better, today, after work on my first pull, everything was going right, all the interrupts were lining up perfectly. I had the worm at 30% and the Tauren at 5%, was focusing the worm, a stun totem spawned out of LoS at the same time the worm was casting and the Tauren was casting their big hits…. I got recked… lol, oh well I will get it

Worm at 30 Tugar at 5% means you have practically beaten the tower. Few more tries and it’s yours. You got this.
