Not doing dungeons really, just questing/grinding. Almost level 20, wondering if I will be doing the same rotation and wand usage for the next 40 levels?
Shadow is really the way to go. You just go Disc for the wand spec then switch shadow for spirit tap and go down from there. It opens up a bit once you level up particularly with Mind Flay at ~25 (or now if you respecc’d and circled back for wand.) Then you’re usually Swp, mind blast, flay/wand. Speeds up a lot with Shadowform at 40 too.
I don’t like shadow tho, I wanted to level disc. I did it before but its been umpteen years so I am wondering if I just don’t remember the wands being so constant.
There’s just really no reason to go disc at all after the first 5 points in wand spec. If you want to sure, but yea its going to be rough and mostly wanding. Holy is super mana inefficient but even that is miles better than going disc since you at least get some points into improving smite/holy fire…
I feel like if you level disc or shadow it’s the same:
PW:S - —> SW:P ----> wand till dead
Your shadow talents increase your damage a lot. You still use same spells to level. Mindflay though is game changer.
