Disc Priest - How to increase damage output?

I tried a mythic as a disc healer. Everything went alright as far as healing is concerned but my damage output was very small, only like 2-3k dps. I would like to increase that to 15k or 20k dps at least but I don’t see how that’s possible with my current setup.

To be fair, my group already had more than enough dps and they were taking down enemies sometimes before I could finish one cast of smite. Still, I’d appreciate advice from experienced disc priests on how to maximize damage output.

I think you’ll need to provide a bit more info… A log would be ideal but if not at least can you look into the damage meters and describe your DPS and healing breakdown (how much it came for every ability).

Ok if this is the case then I don’t think any data would be helpful… The group was massively over-geared for the dungeon and one-shooting things so there’s really nothing to get from that run that would be valuable advise…

Yes. The other four party members had 125k dps split between them versus my 2k.

Disc priest healing comes from applying atonement (ramping) and then going for your damage rotation.

I can deal around 25-30k dps on +20s packs by spreading purge the wicked on pull, shadowgem trinket + shadowfiend macro, and then doing my standard damage rotation (mind blast (to trigger SF aoe) > schism > shadow covenant > pw: solace > fat shadow divine star > mind blast > etc).

Keep your dots up, prepare for damage before it arrives, and look up the proper rotation to maximize your damage. Keep in mind it’s possible you have to interrupt your damage rotation to refresh your atonements/reshield/dispel/pop barrier/fear etc. Your job is to heal first and foremost!
