Y’know there’s many complaints about MM in PvP, but I for one feel like Disarms (which don’t DR with anything else and aren’t reduced by 15% trinket set bonus) are the ultimate slap in the face for me personally.
After being feared and triple dr stunned and incapacitated etc, then you’re like “finally I can do something” and then boom, 6 second disarm.
Absolute misery. Wish disarms just didn’t exist, I’d give up weapon enchant for a weapon chain even lmao
Disarm is too strong. Sure we can cast spells like traps, defensives. But most likely , as OP said, Ive already used it all for the other CCs while trying to kite.
Id love a weapon chain, but that would be mandatory, unless you have 2 bows, for different situations.
SPriests don’t have it anymore, psychic horror is just a regular stun now, but still Rogue/War/Monk have it, including healer monks, and it’s like 30 yard range for monks as well…as if there aren’t enough people who can disarm me, having a MW incap/leg sweep/disarm me just to stop me from doing anything, or just disarming me from a thousand miles away from a pillar is just the most agonizing thing.
There’s plenty of CC to shut us down without disarms as it is…just make disarms for melee weapons only tbh. Biggest frustration as MM particularly is the requirements to actually do our “regular damage” with Aimed shots, gets interrupted by triple DR stuns and stuff all the time. If you count the time we waste casting before another CC cancels it, we technically sit longer CC’s since pretty much everyone else is doing their damage instantly upon leaving CC. Aimed shoooooo- oh nvm stunned, okay Aimed SHOOOOO- nvm dr stunned. Okay, AIMED SHOOOOOOOO- triple dr stuned → disarm. They can space out the CC because we’re not actually a threat while casting aimed shot, so CC is just extra effective against MM.
Any other class I’ve ever played doesn’t get shut down this long, or at least extremely rarely. Sure, my outlaw rogue can get hit with the same amount of CC into a disarm, but the second that CC ends I’m cranking again, whereas on hunter it’s just such a slow process to ramp back up, and after all that CC is over and you finally get to cast an aimed shot, it just doesn’t do a whole lot after all.
All that being said, I can tolerate being spammed with triple DR stuns and fears and whatever, but the disarm for 6 seconds after all of that is what really annoys me.
are you saying that Blizzard has failed to balance us as mobility spec that avoid damage at range…do you think more mobility would help or heals we can use in a stun?
Yeah I mean we don’t really kite in PvP anymore, melee mobility has gotten dramatically better over the years and Hunter mobility hasnt’ changed since MOP.
They likely won’t add or improve mobility though for PvE reasons, so I doubt that will be a viable solution.
