Am I the only one disappointed?
Because the game has been played publicly in beta since May 15th, classic no longer has a new feel despite not being released?

Sorry I was so bad at my first attempt to write this.
I didn’t mean to cause confusion about resets.

I wouldn’t worry about it. I personally don’t have time to watch Twitch and the like, and there is SO many different things to do in Classic, I doubt you’ve even scratched the surface with what you’ve watched. Don’t look for things to worry about and don’t watch other people play the game. Just enjoy it when it’s here.

Classic is a game to be played. Not viewed. Once you play it on lauch: this deelonf will go away.

Technically it’s not a public beta as it’s not open to said public.

Classic shouldn’t feel “new” since it’s a old game. It’s just being re-released.

It’s a re-release of a 15 year old game, so i’m not sure it’s really going to feel all that new to those of us who played it in 2004. It’s more like going back home again.

For people who haven’t played it back in 2004-2006, it’s a completely different experience to actually play the game rather than simply watch/hear about other playing it.

I am pretty bad at writing about it, the misunderstanding is not your fault.
There isn’t a word for it in English. Like the closest thing would like jealously, but instead of not liking a person because they are doing something you want to do, you don’t like the thing because so many people do it before you get the chance to.

Like if you were going to drink a pepsi and six other people drank out of it first.

I think even that is not the best way to write it.
Like if you planned to drink a pepsi at the same time as like 300 million people and you ended up in a group of 200 million that drank three months late.

I really did mean more like a schedule event where most of the attendees did the event months earlier.

This would still be a type of jealousy, just more of a “I no longer like this game as much because somebody else got to play with it first”.

Which I’d say in general in life it helps a lot to not care about people who aren’t you doing things that ultimately don’t affect you.

Millions of us already played this game back in 2006, but the game isn’t any less fun just because you aren’t among the first to play it.

If it makes you feel any better, OP, technically, no one has drank a pepsi before you. They are all playing beta for classic, yes. But it’s not actually Classic. It’s not REALLY classic until August 27th, so right now they’re drinking like Diet Pepsi. No one can drink Pepsi until August 27th.

Beta is separate just like vanilla is separate. Technically, millions and millions already played Vanilla… And people played the first beta for Vanilla… They’re all different. So no one has played Classic yet, the first time someone gets to play Classic is the exact moment we all get to play Classic.

And I look super forward to drinking that Pepsi with you in a few months :slight_smile: Keep hope, friend.

Is that like yes, I am the only person no longer interested in it because of the beta running for over a whole month already?

I have seen a few posts that have claimed they are no longer interested for various reasons but to let your hype die because you cant play currently is not a great reason to me. I can see how you dont want to watch streamers talk about beta and just want to get into the game and freaking play.

As a beta player i just want to progress my character more and more and have porbably spent WAY too much time (see over 10+ days played) on my priest. Only to know im doing it again at launch. Overall i just want to skip to the launch and get started already, and i believe that is the position of most of the people on the forums here. We just want to get in and get at it.
