AI’s can be built for a budget now, and they’re actually really impressive. It’s something I have been playing with for a project I am on.
i know a certain cm (ythisens. well i dont know him personally but heard him on an interview and he is a huge blizzard fan) who lost his job at blizz recently due to the cuts. i’d be willing to pay a higher sub fee if they hired him back with like an apprentice to review such things. he seems like he would be fair and he’s a classic vanilla fan.

I mean if they wanted to prevent a few people from being wrongly squelched yeah. But if the punishment for wrongly reporting someone for gold selling, an act that is very easily proven or disproven, I doubt many people, even trolls, would consider it worth doing.

Question, and I’m honestly asking this: if a guild mate of yours said “Hey guys can we report Provengreil real quick”, would the result of that be me getting squelched? Not that a flood of reports wouldn’t squelch me, but would that flood actually happen? Because if someone in my guild said that, my first response would be to ask why.
EDIT: and if the answer is “yes” or “yes, after an explanation that may or may not be true”, how many times will he ask this before you start squinting?

all it would take is one time to ruin the opening of the gates of anh’qiraj. vanilla functioned like an american product, wasnt as much globalist influence or enforcement at the time.
historically, america has been very anti-censorship in nearly every venue - books, movies, music, video games. thats why ricky was eventually allowed to be filmed in the same bed with lucy in the old i love lucy tv show, when before that, they were shown in separate beds. they didnt want censorship. all this censoring of language and thought is a resurfacing of old approaches on subjects, ranging from who ya vote for to who ya mate with. its not actually new. it’s a reboot.

Didn’t you get the memo? Liberal ideas are a wave of the future, ground breaking new concepts that have never once been practiced. It’s truly a step forward from anything society’s been capable of.
In reality though, it’s more like there is a ‘slightly’ moral high ground to an idea then the bandwagon of NPCs try to shove that ideology down your throat so hard and enforce it with such extremist concepts that it feels more self-fulfilling to rebel against it.
Honestly, and this is slightly more political… I feel like I was robbed out of some opportunities in regards to shaping my own belief system and moral concepts of what’s right and wrong, because there’s somethings I want to agree with, but I’d rather just go with whatever keeps this globalist censorship agenda at bay, whether or not it’s “right” from an objective moral view point.
To their credit though, the modern censorship is genius. “Their” being the strategists forming this culture not the NPCs following it. I mean… they found a way to make nearly everything racist, sexist, xenophobic, and politically incorrect except for their own agendas. Now the spreading of opposing viewpoints is severely limited, being associated with actual evils, and in some cases even illegal. You either have to have an IQ of 137+ to dance around the verbal labyrinth without getting deplatformed, and even then you get shut down for being guilty by association with certain groups that might support you, or you try and hold your ground and speak freely, but end up committing social suicide.
Acti-Blizz wants a socially acceptable platform. They don’t want to enable racism, sexism, or give a platform that allows for real life threats or harassment to take place and they shouldn’t. They never did though. But the difference between now and 2004 though is what’s PERCEIVED to be racist, sexist, or harassment or threats.
People really thought it was racist for a particular NFL team to win a championship vs another one. Some people really think it’s sexist to have an attractive female video game character. Some people really think it’s harassment to be disagreed with. Also a lot the same people think white genocide isn’t a racist notion or that targeting masculinity isn’t sexist, that attacking someone physically or online bullying someone for having a contrary belief system isn’t harassment, it’s justice. And believing in the ladder won’t get you deplatformed, it won’t lose you advertisers, it won’t affect your social standing so any platforms built around it will allow for more of those ideas to spread and less for an opposing viewpoint.
And it will only get worse from here. What happens when it’s against the rules of most platforms to talk politics, but the ban system is based on user reports. What happens when everyone is political, but no one will report a user for saying something they agree with? Meanwhile the minority of people willing to share an opposing viewpoint find themselves quickly silenced, demonetized, or outright removed from the platform.

You are so entitled to your opinions as they are the “facts” or the only “true”, you are arguing in such an offensive and aggressive way to prove them or disprove others. I will say it again, I do not like the way you argue with people. Just because more people in this very thread are against right click-silence is not making it a BAD thread.
Just accept there are different opinions about every single subject. You do not need to take one side as no side is just black and white. Our opinions are nothing but our perception in the relative reality. You want to silence people with one button I do not. You can not convince me otherwise, argue with others without crossing the respect border is crucial.

I do not like the forum being flooded with numerous threads simultaneously on the same subject by the same group, and in each ignoring the arguments that had already occurred in the others. Those debates started off calmly, but then selective reading, warping of posts, ignoring of citations, someone calling others liars, yeah it escalates. Especially due posters like the OP of this thread, who was guilty all of those things, and then repeatedly called for a “clean slate” when her arguments were backed into a corner and she had meltdowns.
NOT TO MENTION SOME EQUATING SUPPORT OF THE PROPOSED SYSTEM TO SEVERAL HATE GROUPS.
So please excuse me for being tempermental after weeks of the same bogus arguments against a system that has not been the downfall of western civilization as some are suggesting it will be.

Going to need a firm measure of success/failure first. So I can calculate some odds. Lol. Industry standard? Dev costs? Target numbers for launch, recurring subs,
to break even or make a profit? Anything in the way of concrete data? Besides just saying this will ruin classic by a bunch of alt brigading and a couple legit players who have bought into this streamer dribble?

No offense, but if you look so fondly on the garbage filled public channels in vanilla that lack of it would in your mind “risk classic’s success / failure” then I truly do not know what to say to you.
I put the ability to actually genuinely communicate in the public channels especially the topic specific ones a lot higher on my list of things to care about than the wants of those who defend keeping in place the ability of certain players to completely make them unusable. Vanilla’s wonderful crap-filled public channels is not what motivates me to play classic.
