Disappointed with Physical Collector's Edition

I received my physical Collector’s Edition in the mail today. I have to say I’m disappointed by the low quality of the components. I have every physical Collector’s Edition since vanilla plus the 15th anniversary box, and the physical box for this edition not only is flimsy (and has a tear on the bottom that I had to tape), but it’s not even the same structure of the previous 9 boxes. The binding on the art book is the cheapest, flimsiest possible binding you can put on a book and still be able to call it a book. The mouse pad is likewise very cheap and flimsy.

It’s quite unfortunate. I think in many ways Blizzard is heading in a negative direction. I still have high hopes for the actual content, though. Fingers crossed.

That stuff has always been a waste of money in my opinion. I never buy those collector editions and not because I don’t want a collectors version but because I know the quality is going to suck. Always Felt like a company’s way of trying to bilk customers out of their $$.

many years ago it wasn’t as bad tho.

I’m disappointed because mine didn’t have a f’ing game code in it. They fat fingered it and gave me two soundtrack codes instead. And their live chat has been full for FOUR DAYS so I haven’t even gotten ahold of anyone.

Try putting a ticket in for billing.

Lol no way. I laugh at the fail of providing a wrong code, not your situation. Definitely a crappy situation. Hope they resolve it asap!

That totally sucks about the code. I hope they get it fixed for ya.

This is the first year I bought the digital collectors edition instead of physical. They gave out enamel pins in the physical collectors edition this year.

I collect enamel pins

I thought about it, but the store is handled by a totally different company now isn’t it? I wasn’t sure if Blizzard themselves could do anything about it since it’s not their store anymore.

There is an auction on eBay for just the pins for around $40.

O!

:hearts:

Hopefully I can snag a bundle like that once payday hits then, pins tend to retail for about $7-$12 for 1 pin as it is, so 4 for $40 isn’t a bad deal at all.

Oh wow. Thanks for dropping in. I was on the fence about it, but if the quality isn’t there… forget it.

The box change was weird, definitely. Art book felt fine to me. At least it has an art book this time. Mousepad quality is fine. I was still using the Legion one before. Kinda like the simpler design of the Shadowlands one. The covenant pins were actually higher quality than I was expecting.

Oh you bought it from another retailer and not directly from blizzard? If so yea I’d contact that retailer, if they can’t do anything try blizzard

Congratulations they got you to take the bait.

No I got it from the Blizzard store, but it’s run by another company now apparently. So I wasn’t sure if a GM would be able to help at all anymore. I can try it anyway I guess, since apparently the store CS is “too busy” for me.

Yeah, they outsource that kind of stuff. It wouldn’t make sense to manufacture and put together all the items in the CE in-house.

See, that’s where everyone goes wrong. Lower those hopes, lower them way down, then anything More than and you’ll be ecstatic. It’s how I survived an abusive relationship, I didn’t hope to not get beat, I hoped I wouldn’t have to go to the hospital or doctors afterwards…I was so happy so often he finally had enough of me.

They should be able too!

I’ll give it a shot at least. Fingers crossed they believe me lol
