Disappointed with Paying for Early Access to the New Expansion

You mean the misinformed opening post about how “epic edition” only comes with early access when it doesn’t?

This is what is wrong with the world today, lol. Businesses may prize the deepest pockets, but those are often the most conditional, unpredictable, and entitled types of customers, imo.

Truth, just look at people saying that is not all you get, even though most people mad about this only mad about the early access.

If all that extra stuff matters to them cool, than respect people who don’t like early access part, and remove it from epic. They are so dishonest. They even twist the op words.

The early access part is scummy, and if you all don’t care about it like you say you don’t. Than you would be ok with players wanting it gone.

It’s not dishonesty to disagree with them on buying an expansion just for early access. Obviously, it’s their money and their life, and we can’t tell them what to do with any of that, but I personally don’t think it’s reasonable to spend upwards of $95+ just to get 3 days of early access to an expansion. That is a massive waste of money if that is all they are truly paying for, in my opinion. Perhaps they have more money than sense. Who knows.

If you hate the early access part, don’t use it or don’t purchase the epic edition with it in it. Stop trying to ruin something for others who might want to enjoy something.

Agree, but we can’t pretend that players are not very addicted to wow, or games at all and this leaves a bad taste in mouth. Wow is very well known for having a community that has a addicted nature to the game.

So it does matter. Ok good to know thank you.

Yes, it does matter because it is a new expansion, with new stories and zones to explore.

No we talking about the early access part. You all acting like it does not matter much just a small extra and twisting the op words.

If it is just a extra little bonus than you would not mind not having it, and get all the other stuff that you all seem to think matter more. Problem fix everyone happy.

You saying we can not experience the new story, explore new zones in early access?

Personally, I could take it or leave it, but since it’s a bonus I will most certainly use it. :man_shrugging:

No what I am saying acting like you don’t care about it, when you keep twisting words and saying that is not all we get. Is being dishonest, when people don’t care about the extra stuff just the early access.

Mmmmm. Every topic about EA has turned into a dumpster fire. Discussion only lasts so long.

However, I’ll bite and add to this.

I’ve been a loyal WoW customer too.

EA has nothing to do with loyalty and everything to do with making money. A business is a business first and foremost.

This has existed since day 1 with Alliance and Horde. Also PvE’ers vs PvP’ers. Then Raid vs M+. I’m not saying we should add to any divide, but every decision will cause a divide in the playerbase.

Eh, that’s subjective. I’m not worried. Unless they try some D4 season or Diablo Immortal nonsense, then it’s not an issue.

I like quality too. However, EA is not reducing the quality by any means. You could release the expansion 3 months from now and add EA in then…

Which is irrelevant to the factual information being given concerning how the Epic Edition works and what you actually paid for.

As are the rest of us. Pointing out that’s not what you paid for is not having a discussion about the pets or anything else.

You’ve been obsessing over saying you paid for something that you did not.

Breakdown time.

DF Epic Edition $90 WW Epic Edition $90 cost of items
character boost character boost $60
mount mount $25
pet pet x 4 $40
back transmog x 5 set transmog x 8 $50/$80
head transmog sandbox toy $10
hearthstone toy hearthstone toy $5
prepurchase pet $10/$0
Trader Tender Trader Tender $5
prepurchase beta access
prepurchase early access

That is an actual breakdown of how much each cost and what came with them. Prices are based on items as they were in the store or are now, transmogs for the outfits are for 4 and not 8, because I wasn’t counting the effects sets. Tender prices based on the bundles, which were $5 and gave 200 Tender. All of that adds up to way more than $90— and there is no price tag I can nor need to put on the beta or early access.

People are essentially paying to be beta testers for a few extra days.

All that extra stuff is not what the topic is about just early access. Don’t move goal post.

No one is moving goalposts. Let’s take a look, shall we?

All of that is in the OP.

And the person I replied to:

So yes… completely on topic and no goalpost was moved.

Yes because the early access has more value than anything else. That is the problem they have not the extra stuff.

The extra stuff does not matter to the topic at hand, it is selling of the early access. It is not hard.

When people wrongfully claim they’re paying for early access, it absolutely does.

I can talk about whatever portion of the OP and other comments I please. You don’t get to dictate that. Move along.

Personally i always buy the most expensive edition. I got the physical one cus it came with a statue. Early access is just icing on the cake.

I have zero problems with this.
