Disappointed with Paying for Early Access to the New Expansion

This whole thread is worth the cost of the epic edition, keep the tears coming. :joy:

who’s seriously divided? and what community? you mean the growler river that is GD? :joy:

btw, it is foolish to believe that early access in the game would mean 100% smooth sailing.
tough lesson, but I think it will blow over in a day or 2, just in time for actual launch, when it starts up again :stuck_out_tongue:
cheers

I agree, but we all know that Activision Blizzard only cares about our money and not enough about customer service or customer satisfaction. They will never change and each year that passes it will keep getting worse. I wanted to get some help a couple of days ago and there was no way to talk to someone live, it is all generic answers that are pre printed from commonly asked questions. They are lazy, greedy and careless. This is probably the last expansion I’m playing since I have already payed for it.

I think it was just done as a way to stagger logins at launch and prevent official launch day issues. Opting in via price is probably just icing on the cake for blizz

Nonsense.

If they wanted a staggered release then they would do a staggered release, just like they did for the majority of past expansions.

This was 100% about money.

I dont care…i paid early access and currently im away from computer…am i wasting time?? Yea!! do i care??? NOT really

People paying extra to be out of my way Monday after work? Heck yeah!

Or they could have just released the entire expansion for everyone on Thursday.

You know, like they did for vanilla and then 9 consecutive expansions over almost 20 years……

It’s 3 days early to play a game and gather virtual resources and virtual gear. Most of us will be bored within 3 months.

Was never needed before, just an excuse for blizzard to be worse and charge extra for it

Yeah, I’ve said it elsewhere but this is really bothering me and I don’t like the precedent it sets. Hopefully it doesn’t permanently stain my views of the expansion but opening seasons have been ruined by less in my view.

Instead of complaining about it, just don’t buy into it. It’s that simple.

oh no! other people made choices I didn’t make! anyway…life goes on.

I loved early access. There was less competition for quest objectives, less people covering quest givers, and overall more relaxing to play. 5 stars. Would do again.

And that my friend is why they are in three tiers, its psychological to get you to pay for crap that you wouldn’t normally buy. No matter how you go about it your still getting suckered into giving blizz double the box value.

Yup. I bought all the Collector’s Edition every expansion. There was no Early Access with it back then. Now, there is. They rewarded my dedication to the game.

That’s…not how loyalty works.

“This customer has been coming to my shop every day for 20 years but never buys my most expensive product, how come they are so unfaithful to me? I wish they were more loyal and bought all of my most expensive products!”

People don’t have to always buy the most expensive products to be loyal to a business. You are mistaking loyalty for being an online simp.

Loyalty =/= money spent. Especially not money spent on a single purchase.

Dear OP - You had me with your #1 … but your #2, #3 and #4 are spot on too.

Thank you.

They have not done staggered releases for the same regions before. It has only been by time zone. This let’s some people in to work out the kinks before the real world wide go live. Money is just a bonus

The narrative has to make sense for that to work. This expansions story doesn’t allow that. It made sense in legion cause the whole if broken shores were decimated X characters went to help different places. The story is more linear now. Its 3days essentially just a bonus. No one bought the Collector’s or Heroic version based on early access. The other things in those bundles are what people are after.
