Disappointed with Paying for Early Access to the New Expansion

I figured the early access price got me 1 months free game time, I will probably farm enough for 2 tokens worth of gold early on so its kinda going to pay for itself.

But I digress…early access should not be a thing.

I’d say there is more “addiction” with the same handful of people posting about not liking early access

I mean you could say the same about people who defend it, like people saying they always get the epic or what not.

Yes. Good point.

People are so addicted to playing WoW with the early access they got the epic edition previously when no early access existed

Much addiction.

I’m glad I could teach you. Here is another good point for you.

The fact people need to defend themselves from players who don’t like the EA, by saying that. It just makes you look insecure and you are.

EA was not needed, if players always get it anyway. You would not care if it is gone to make everyone else happy.

Stop being defensive

You are coming across as extremely insecure in your opinions

By stating why people doing something? Ok cute deflect. anything else you want to learn?

“when people disagree with me, it means they are insecure. And I really wish people would stop disagreeing with me”

all these kids are teenagers their mom didn’t buy them expansion sadly…
good lesson for them no money no game!~

That is not it at all. Reading is a issue for you huh? I will break it down better.

People have a problem with EA.

People come in and say they always get the Epic even without EA.

You having to defend your purchase that has nothing to do with topic is being insecure.

It is not hard, and i’m sorry I hit a nerve. Try and do better.

You didn’t hit a nerve.

Just because someone disagrees with your opinion does not make them insecure is my point.

And if you disagree with what I am saying here, that obviously means you are insecure.

Early Access is a great way for Developers to reward players. It’s not different than back in 2004 ordering the Collector’s Edition. No you didn’t get early access… you got other things instead.

Now early access is just part of the gaming industry. It should last longer than 4 days (like 2 weeks) and there should be events, collectibles and achievements that you can ONLY get during early access.

Nah.

A weekend with nearly everything turned off is just fine.

Sadly it’s owned by Microsoft and mini transactions is the name of the game for them. Do I agree with it? No. People would still pay for Epic Editions for the other perks as well but, I do feel like this caused more people that purchase the other editions to upgrade. They’re not forcing you to buy it but, if you do any type of high end content and want a jump start it’s basically a requirement at that point unless you play relentlessly for the next week after the main launch date.

Chiming in to just say I’m really sad. I can afford 50 dollars but not 90. And because of that, tonight I won’t be playing an expansion on launch night for the first time in my life. It sucks and I’m legit just incredibly let down that this is the direction that was taken.

Now I’m going to be assaulted by spoilers across the internet that are, essentially, unavoidable. I’m going to be behind on professions in a way that is likely unrecoverable considering how much gold flows in the first few days of an xpac. But worst of all is I’m going to be left out of the actual fun of experiencing the launch with everyone else.

This is a multiplayer game. Community should matter. Dividing your players with regards to who gets to play an expansion first is just cruel and greedy on a level we have never seen. It sucks and I’m disappointed. It really kind of kills any hype I had for the expansion, and I don’t know if I’m even going to bother getting it at all now.

Yup, same, super disappointed. They are literally punishing poor people with delayed access. People need to stop trying to justify this crap, because that’s exactly what it is. Do you have the normal launch day, or the poor people launch day? They’re ruining the most important day since 2 years unless you are paying a $40 ransom.

This is the best answer. Any other retort is simply boohoo, I want everything as cheaply as possible. How dare a game provide years of more or less quality enjoyment and uptime, and charge money to keep themselves afloat? How dare they offer bundles to cater to all budgets and the one I want to spend on doesn’t include everything?! How dare they ask me to work an extra hour (or two, Dear lord, I hope if doesn’t take you more than that, if it does, reevaluate your life) to pay for that extremely good bundle price?!

I’m very excited, 11 minutes for early access to start!!

Unless I’m mistaken… it’s 4 days. 22nd vs 26th. All the marketing says 3 days, yet correct me if I am wrong here.
I thought it might have had to do with launch time of day, but no. It’s open in 10 minutes here in Aus on a Friday morning, and Tuesday is general release.
