Disappointed with Paying for Early Access to the New Expansion

You trying to convince people they have a problem because you don’t like early access is quite literally the definition of gaslighting.

I didn’t defend my purchase. I explained how everyone wins with early access. I’ve requoted that twice now. I guess a third time is needed.

See. Win/win for everyone argument.

If it’s 3 of us all saying the same thing to you… perhaps you are the one deluded here. Or perhaps the “insecure” comment was projection?

I pray to our lord and savior, Ion, that he survives the night.

And to the op to get back to the topic.

As you can see the community has twisted your words. Best advice to ignore these people, as they keep saying they did not do something when they did. Deflect to gas lighting, and don’t understand the words they say.

I agree with you OP, and know that many others do as well. It is just wow forum is one of the worse places for debate. Considering that people who think ganging up on someone trying to help them means they are in the right.

Thank you for the good read OP!

Honestly dude you’re starting to come of as incredibly self-centered and conceited.

Your entire argument comes down to -
“If i can’t have it early, no one can!”

Thats further backed up by the literal fact you said multiple times

“Just take EA out of the bundle”

You say you’re acting on kidness? Im calling you on your BS!

A kind person would be happy for people who are going to enjoy the game we all love this weekend. A kind person would not make this much of a issue soley because they aren’t benefiting.

Lie to yourself if you want, but i see you clear as day. Theres not a shred of kindness in a single thing you said. From insinuating everyone who bought the edition has no self control or are addicts to the insane bs of you actually giving ppl crap for defending their money purchase.

Funny, I didn’t see a single thing about video game addiction and how it affects the masses. Or how explaining why you bought epic, you are insecure.

Odd.

Especially when you get get gaslight and called insecure for expressing yourself.

Interesting. I don’t actually care about any of those besides just being able to start playing the game the same time everyone else does. And we know that’s what most people are upset about.

Opinions on who cares about what are irrelevant to the factual information given.

People can be mad or happy or interested or not. It doesn’t change the breakdown of items and how much the Epic Edition cost comparatively to DF.

But I’ve already explained this, so I’ll stop repeating it.

If everyone had free Early Access then the 22nd would just be launch day…it’s not at all predatory. You have 3 price points to enter at. Early access has always been a premium feature in every game that has offered it.

You don’t get to dictate why someone bought something. Move along.

Oh, you mean you’ll finally shut up even though you’re SO wrong? Thank GOD.

FFXIV has been providing early access to its expansions for years now and they’re doing just fine. It has never reduced my enjoyment of the game or made me feel like I’m being left behind.

Why you decided to make the purchase is entirely different. I already told you that. No one is dictating anything. Calm down.

I have been part of every beta sine starting to play and I “earned” it by clicking a button on the website, or did you mean “earned” by giving keys out to streamers so they could hype the game for them? The weird elitism of this game has always baffled me.

You weren’t charged anything… I checked my transaction histories and my other previous Epic Editions were the exact same price, not even a cent off. Early Access was put in with no additional cost.

So you really just bought an epic edition and have nobody but yourself to blame.

JFC…ANY reason to cry. NOBODY FORCED YOU TO BUY THE EPIC EDITION. If you didn’t agree/like EA, then you shouldn’t have purchased that edition. You’re crying just to cry and it’s ridiculous. Grow up and stop acting like a tantrum throwing 5 year old.

Wonderful math until you recognize that many people couldn’t care less about pretty much any of that, and purchased the epic edition solely for early access.

Truly I get that we received other things, but I can say without a doubt I wouldn’t have paid for the epic edition if early access wasn’t a thing. I know it, you know it, Blizzard knows it, that’s why they did it. I don’t like it at all, we can have our opinions.

Irrelevant to the facts of how the bundle works. What you like and want is subjective. What’s actually there is objective.

It was entirely a marketing gimmick from Blizzard’s end knowing full well more people would buy the Epic Editions solely because it enabled them to have early access, that’s it. This type of strategy isn’t new at all.

It’s 100% relevant if that’s the only way to get it, if you want early access, you’re forced to buy it. Objectively, if you want early access, you buy the epic edition.

Yes, it’s part of the bundle. But not a single one of us paid for early access. We paid for the Epic Edition. Which came with early access. And no, not all of us care about early access. I’ve been getting Epic Editions as long as they’ve existed. They didn’t come with early access before and if it’s not part of it next time, I’ll still buy it.

Thus my point: the reason you purchased the Epic Edition is entirely different than what comes in it and the monetary breakdown.
