When Ion Hazzikostas said that the trees would open the possibilities for hybrid specs I thought it might lead to the potential for melee BM. Yet, as the same Blizzard lets me down with just same options but less versatility.
SV hunter just doesn’t capture the sense of being one with your pet. You throw bombs around that not what I envision when I think of Hunters. They stalk the wilds with their pet by their side working as one to fight. Melee SV is designed like a Guerrilla fighter just using what they have at hand to take out the target.
BM could have easily borrowed from SV abilities to create a play-style. Three abilities that could have been options would be Raptor Strike, SV version of KC, and Lacerate to replace Barbed Shot. There are more possibilities, like Cobra Shot being changed to Cobra’s Bite, which would also apply Serpent Sting.
I was hoping that DF would open up more possibilities for each spec and give chances for new builds while bringing back some old ones. Blizzard really missed a opportunity to give players the chance to play their spec the way they wanted.
