Disappointed with myself

Told myself I was going to work on my WW Monk who I haven’t touched since the end of Legion.

I was dedicated to PvPing with him, but after the changes at the end of Legion I found it disheartening with the GCD to our burst set up (Which I guess has been fixed for the better?) change. Not to mention the removal of the HoT from using port, or having a FoF stun was a blow too.

Ret was my true love when I went from Hunter to Paladin in Cata, but in Legion, I didn’t like the changes to Ret, so I found a mistress. One who use to subdue me during MoP, and that was Windwalker.

Windwalker was a COMPLETELY different ball field than anything I have ever experienced playing on my Ret Paladin. One minute I was this big slow, yet hunk of a Tauren Bull that would put up such ridiculous numbers in damage to this crafty, agile, trolling spec that could jump into a fight… set my burst up and truck someone into the ground, then port away where the other team would come at me and it would turn into a big Benny Hill skit.

I had my fulfillment of being a brute that could put the number up on my Ret, but my WW was a calculating nuisance. You know you are doing something right if you are getting half the team going out of their way because they’re pretty tee’d off of you picking them off one by one (and sometimes 2 at a time!) and then getting away before anyone else can kill you.

I just never been someone who could run two characters at the same time, but I would really like to get motivated into doing so… if WW is back to being in a decent place in PvP then I’d like to sign up.

What’s decent in pvp fluctuates all the time. If you just ride the wave of what is meta you will always be unhappy jumping from class to class.

It sounds like you enjoy monk so you should play one. Your game time should be enjoyable not work.

That’s the thing. There were certain things that WW did need nerfed. And the increased CD of Paralyze is one of them.

Also, I don’t go for the FOTM-Meta. I rolled to WW in Legion because Ret got pruned into feeling like a Warrior. Yet they seemed to become more viability in things like RBG’s.

Not to mention I’m not into rated PvP that much, so I never cared for pushing rating. And WW overall in Legion to me had more ups than downs, and they had viability in 3’s, but not in RBG’s, and I’m more of an BG player anyway.

WW is in a really good place in pvp right now. I would just give it a shot you never know. I can def say it gets much better with gear and traits.

If I helps, OP, I am also disappointed in you.

It does help actually…

There were so various mog styles I would come up with and make it look good.

The thing about it… I feel as if Orcs are not your average drunk and happy meditating Monks. Put the right mog on one and they look incredibly intimidating.

Like this one I have on now!
