So, Blizzard seems to have had such a great time trolling people with Disappearing mining and herbing nodes, they’ve now resorted to making the chests, mushrooms and nests disappear…
For the love of sanity everywhere, please stop this garbage!!! It is bad enough you put them in trees and in spots that are a pain in the butt to get to, now, they de-spawn as you get there!?!??!!?
9 times out of 10, it disappears because you phased out.
Frankly the fact that we can’t loot them while in combat is the more frustrating thing.
Regardless of the excuse, if it shows up on your minimap, it should NOT despawn. If someone else shows up after you, and it has passed that magic timer, then just don’t show it at all.
The simple fact that crap shows up only to disappear just as you are finally getting to it or even worse, while you are killing mobs right next to it… drives me insane!!!
I really feel you it happened the same to me. I wanted to break my pc screen.
And everytime you get to a mushroom something aggro you and while you are fighting with the adds someone appears and steals your mushroom.
No most of the time it vanishes because it was looted and once looted it only lasts for like 30 seconds or something before going away.
They need to remove the restriction of looting them while in combat and, ideally, do something about donkeyhats sitting on huge mounts doing their best to block anyone else from getting it
Went to loot a spectral key today. I clicked on it… bar went all the way to full, then it just disappeared.
Thats actually how that one works. You click on 3 different spectral keys in the area and the chest unlocks
This is definitely not the problem.
Meanwhile if these were in SL proper, we’d be able to nip this next week.
Shame they’ve put a boatload of difficult to get to things in a zone where we’ll never fly.
Yeah, except gathering nodes last about 15 times longer than Korthia treasures before they despawn.
If you see it on the map, and as you approach it just disappears but as you walk away it appears again, it’s a phasing issue.
And this happens often with the nests.
Actually this happens to me a lot too.
Even in Southern Korthia, when I’m the only person there.
Why? I really can’t say.
Yeah, that isn’t what is causing stuff to disappear fast right after one person loots it.
I think they only last for maybe 1-3 seconds max before they despawn. So if you’re fighting a mob guarding the treasure, and someone runs up and steals it, you have a 0% chance to get it no matter how fast you finish killing the mob.
That’s another, separate and equally infuriating problem.
I’m going to peace out of Korithia content once the gear grind ramps up too high. It’s like WoD treasures and Vanilla gather quests had an evil baby.
The one time I would have been fast enough to kill a mob to tag the chest, I was stuck in combat with the Fists of Fury bug.
If someone got to it before you, it will despawn.
It depends on the item. Some of the major treasures disappear almost automatically. The mushrooms and other smaller ones take about 30 seconds or so before they despawn.
… don’t we have multi-tap nodes for this exact purpose?
I was mid loot, actually pulling a few things out of a chest. Someone ran up and looted the rest. Cmon now
