Disabling XP Gains on 110+ Characters

Thanks for this. Clearly I missed this from my post earlier.

First they removed ML & the forums exploded and they removed it anyway.

Then they removed auto accept and made WQGF almost pointless & the forums exploded and they removed it anyway

Now they want to stop 110 twinks and the forums are exploding … rethinking it but if history tracks they will remove it anyway.

Why do this? Can’t you just nerf xp gain on a group thay has a level 110 or higher? This action doesn’t make any sense. You are eliminating the ability of players to relive legion content. One of the reasons you just stated is the purpose for being able to turn xp off.

oO( what’s the real story for this action)

If they are really that concerned they could really just make it so “if you queue with a XP off toon, neither player receives XP during that island expedition”

There are quite a few solutions that would not ruin twinking for anyone***, the chances of them settling on one of those is… probably similar to the chance of getting the transmog piece you want from islands.

Coincidence? I think not.

***people twinking in pvp excluded from this statement, you make the game worse for non twinks in pvp.

110 is its own bracket why do you care you are 120?

Man… Who cares if people want to powerlevel others?

Fun detected. Better nerf it!

I do not personally care about twinks in pvp, for pvp I will play at 120.

If I was leveling and doing a bit of pvp on the side I would just realize that these twinks only exist here, and not at 120 and so it is not an issue.

That is just how I personally feel about it, other people feel like it ruins their leveling experience.

Tbh hopefully they do. I am sorry for those who twink for PvE. I feel you can enjoy pre bfa content on capped characters just fine. Imagine Blizzard posts about removing the legendary traits and rolls back secondary stats across the board. Would staying 110 still be a thing?

Legion: 100-110. That’s why.

what about when i q for a random bg at ilvl 380 in mythic raid gear and stomp fresh 120s how is that any different?

How about instead of curbing, you could make it so my 110 vengence demon hunter doesn’t out dps my fresh 120 frost mage? A possible way to do this is giving us an ability at 120 or doing something so when we level we don’t get weaker.

Once again, if they do that it just makes doing bfa content on 110s worse and does not address how much less fun it is on 120s.

If they fix 120s I do not care anymore about what happens to 110s. I still think they should find a solution that lets both be fun though.

We have sweet baby scaling to help us with that, lul, you smash us just not quite as hard.

I do not think pvp should have any scaling like it does right now, I also think they need to handle pvp gearing better too, the system from WoD was really nice.

Pretty sure BFA technically starts at 110, that is when you can start getting quest content and queues for BFA instances.

Once again, you are only self serving.

I’m no dev, but how about if you engage in ‘any’ 110+ content you will again gain experience. That is if they are using 110’s to power level people to 120 which is what i figure is happening.

That is a much much larger issue with scaling, a system they never should have implemented.

i hear a few people plan on subbing if this hotfix goes through.
i also know i might buy another compy of wow but without bfa so i can play at 110 o wait…i cant buy hard copies anymore…
im shaking man PLEASE DONT TAKE OUR TWINKS AWAY~!

Boosting players on 110s does not hurt anyone and you can boost on 120s anyway.

If they really want to stop boosting they need to remove experience from any type of content you can be carried through.

Seems unreasonable, doesn’t it? Boosting is not a problem, it is a symptom caused by other forms of leveling not being worthwhile.
