Disabling chat in Rated Competitive PvP is griefing for your team

Your refusal to communicate and read communications is griefing. You’re not queueing randoms you are queueing Rated Competitive PvP. If you can’t handle what comes with that, don’t queue it.

Don’t be toxic and people wouldn’t turn it off. Works both ways.

Hey can you use “basic ability only you have”

OKAY SWEATLORD

Id rather it give leader the the highest rated person with decending order of healer/dps

I get why people do this, but trying to form a plan prior to the start of a match is difficult when people don’t communicate.

Person A is toxic to person B, resulting in Person B turning chat off; Person C is then unable to communicate with Person B, resulting in Person D (you) telling Person C that they shouldn’t have been toxic to Person B.

Your comment is not rooted in logic, but condescending prattling, which itself is viewed by many as toxic.

Hope this helps!

Whatever you say.

I know what you are.

Or speak ur language. Actually had a full team of rag players all speaking Portuguese and i had no idea what they wanted besides pings. No reason for me to be on a team when they cant understand me and vice versa

That’s a prime example of why the default UI needs better integration of features from addons like BGE and REPorter, plus a more comprehensive ping system.

If you could ping a node “WARNING: 5 incoming”, then the language barriers are almost completely dissolved.

I remember a year ago players complaining about being punished for chat, and they swear they said nothing offensive. Also I have friends in game who said the same, and that was over a year ago so its probably worse now.

I would turn chat off, so the Blizzard thought police do not get ya for wrong think.

If you’re talking about Blitz, it really is just random battlegrounds with rewards.

Use pings…

Absolutely! I have been looking for an add-on for this, the one i got was not really working, I will give REPorter a shot

In game you dont know if the guy in chat is a Multi glad or an average player, they might give bad calls.

Its random ya cant force people to play how ya want. People generally turn off chat for 1 of two reasons:

1-They don’t want to see the toxic crap.
2-They don’t want to risk their account because they respond poorly to it.

You being concerned about the number/rating means nothing. It’s randoms.

If ya want accountability, get 2 friends and 3v3. Then you can guarantee comms…of course, getting and keeping the two friends to play with can the difficult part. Esp if one is toxic…

There was a post on this just the other day, and my response here will be the same as it was there.

If you are getting matched with people who have their chat off, it’s because the game sees you and them as roughly equally skilled at winning matches. That says a lot if they are able to pull off the same skill level as yourself with their chat off.

lol good point Leynia. Very good point.

The tank life is a toxic one, especially tank on tank violence.

That’s only true if both players have played a large amount of games, otherwise it’s mostly just the result of chance and the overlap of fresh MMR and carryover MMR from last season.

Sounds like a thought in theory, but isn’t particularly rooted in the reality of how lobbies are formed, especially with regard to characters on fresh MMR, or duos with a large gap between them.
