Anyone having the issue of disabled addons (in the char select screen I have them disabled clicking the addons button), showing up in game anyway? There’s no way to control which addon to load per character, it’s so random. Can anyone help?

I have seen a good number of addon issues. Nothing like you describe. Possibly a problem in the WTF itself. I would suggest a full UI reset as a test.
As I mentioned this is a test. If it doesn’t help simply remove the OLD from your original folders then delete the new folders the game installed. This will return your original settings
didnt help, I renamed those 3 folders and then reinstalled the addons.
this is what happens…for example
you see I have fishing buddy/handy notes turned off for all my characters.
When I log into my Death Knight, this is what I see from the in character addon panel

Yes - I see what you are saying. I’m not sure what the solution is - like I said I haven’t seen other reports of this - not to say it isn’t widespread and folk haven’t noticed.

Yup, thats the solution I found but it is the same problem I had in Beta also, kinda annoying to have to load 7/8 characters and redo addons all over again, don’t even remember which ones I load / disable on each character to be honest.

What I do personally is install an addon manager like Addon Control Panel, set up a “bare bones” profile of the addons I use most across characters, then go in, load that profile on my alt, and enable the ones I need per character and save a profile for each of them.
Also makes trying out new addons/figuring out what one is being wonky easier because you can just disable them from the panel.

good idea, I deleted a lot of addons myself, so I don’t have to deal with them.
Hope it helps! I haven’t had an issue with disabled addons being enabled in game by doing that, or maybe I’ve just been lucky.

Exactly my issue as well, somewhat glad I’m not the only one.

I have the same issue. I set the addons I want on the character selection screen and the disabled ones are showing enabled when I get into the game. I have the addon control panel as well
I have this issue as well, reported it here in the forums and ingame through bug report as well.
Same issue, found this by searching for a fix.
