Disable vote kicks they are completely toxic

There should be an auto AFK kick for 5 mins.

Vote kicking in Cataclym has become completely toxic. It’s being used as a way to filter loot for people in guilds.

I did 10 heroics today, and in at least 5 of them I was vote kicked at the last boss because they wanted loot for their “friends”

i agree. group leader should have the full control over his group.

Ive never had this happen. Not to say it isnt a thing, but 50% of heroics you got kicked for that specific reason? Extremely unlikely, its not like they told you before getting kicked. Odds are, youre just insufferable.

Smarter idea would be just to remove RDF. By far one of the most disastrous features in WoW’s history.

This might sound kinda Cap but I’ve seen people (I had it happen to me 1 time) where people just get randomly kicked from dungeon groups. Obviously this is a bug, not a feature lol.

I agree abusing vote kick is messed up, but if you’re vote kicking someone for griefing, needing stupid loot, or doing like 3K DPS get that guy out of there it’s fricken Heroics week 1/week 2.

I’d go so far as to say one if these is likely the reason 99% of these “vote kick is too abusable” people get kicked, the other 1% is the bug you mentioned

This. Or healers trying to DPS while the group is dying.

Nice fake news story from an alt with 1 posting.

Nah the system is fine. It can be abused, but there’s just as much (if not more) potential abuse in a traditional dungeon group where the party leader has the power to boot whoever they want for any reason, can sneakily make themselves master looter on a boss pull, etc.

I think the benefit of having the option to remove griefers far outweighs the comparatively rare instances of people getting unfairly kicked. So far in cata i’ve only seen one unfair vtk, and it didn’t even pass. Sorry if your experience has been different.

“Fringe situation happened to me once and now I want the entire system changed”

News at 11.

Agreed. I have been kicked numerous times after sitting long Q’s because 3/5 are in a guild and they want to funnel loot to their friend. The system needs to be reworked. I have been Q’ing dungeons since launch and I have not had a single instance where I thought “wow this person is so bad I need to kick them”. The content is easy. I have only ever seen the system abused.

The only fix now is to find friends to Q with. Toxicity levels are higher than ever.

because that works so well in battlegrounds right? right.

stop playing like a bot and you wont get kicked

The nice thing about RDF is that everyone is in the same pool of players and get on average the same experience.

I saw many players drop group after wipes but only one kick in dozens of runs, and it was a player that didn’t even zone in!

I mean if after running solo RDF for a couple days you find OP’s story implausible, then either they were extremely unlucky or more likely just making it up.

Can confirm this happens quite often, its always people from the server “Benediction” At this point if i get into a dungeon with 3-4 people from Benediction I just leave immediately and wait the 30 min deserter.

The best move is to delete you from history.

Just make it clear who queued together when joining. And make leaving a low penalty that stacks up with repeat “queue dodges”.

Think that’s a healthy way to mitigate it a little?

Just here to say, tried to do a random heroic tonight and of course a player from benediction ruined it and caused the group to fall apart.

Did you know that you can queue with friends to avoid being kicked?
