I like to play with my floating combat text turned off, but with the new midnight patch my stagger numbers are appearing on my brewmaster monk, and I can’t seem to figure out which cvar turns them off again. Does anyone know the /console command?

I’m trying to figure out the same thing. Disabling every scrolling combat text element with Advanced Interface Options still left me with -Stagger combat text.

I’ve spent the last week, scouring the internet, and tearing apart code to try and disable the FST (floating stagger text) to no avail.
Something I have learned…
FST is new. (As found from a dev alpha report on 10/1/25) This is not something that was lumped in with combat, or healing text in the past. (I had figured it was always there and had just disappeared by globally hiding text.
As FST is new, the CVar is likely unknown, and/or locked, and thus can’t be changed.
Hopefully someone more adept at gleaning spaghetti code than I can pinpoint the new CVar, and hopefully it hasn’t been locked out.
Guess it’s going to be warrior and DH tanks for me, for a while.
Hopefully this is fixed with tomorrows patch. If it isn’t, or in the meantime, I found a temporary solution.
/console WorldTextScale_v2 0.1
/console WorldTextScreenY_v2 -5
This will make the stagger text very small and placed at the bottom of the screen. If you want it at the top instead use a positive value for WorldTextScreenY_v2.
And in case it messes with other text you need, defaults:
/console WorldTextScale_v2 1
/console WorldTextScreenY_v2 0.015
After over a week, I found a solution in a Reddit post from three years ago.
The whole time it was there… the answer isn’t so much smaller.
It’s bigger.
/console WorldTextScale_v2 1000
Just tested with my Brewmaster, and not a hint of stagger text to be seen. (3440x1440 resolution)
This also hides floating Experience text, and I would imagine, all other floating combat text.
