Items such as Skull of Impending Doom and Nigh Invulnerability belt have no barring of being available inside the arenas. Both items have oppressive qualities that create situations to where certain scenarios can suddenly occur requiring extra actions to be taken in order successfully assess with this odd issue. Particularly Skull of Impending is abused by practically every current arena player on a few different classes, such as, Warriors, Priests, Warlocks, and Druids.
Skull of Impending Doom requires consistent outplay with baiting, and juking to trick the opponent to activate the item, and extra necessary effort to pay close attention to what the enemy is wielding in his hands. The target has little to no repercussion when using this item. With that being said the user can unequip the item at any given moment that he desires, being able to successfully find the opportunity is very thin many times against competent players. With this item it only makes it even thinner and potentially compromising for the player that successfully found the correct time to CC because of an off hand that can be swapped to and out of. My hopes are that in season 3 of TBCC arenas that this item becomes disabled from arenas.
Nigh Invulnerability Belt is even more abused than Skull of Impending Doom.Granted this item actually has counterplay to it, however it would be only from the classes that can purge magical buffs(Priests, Shamans, Mages, Warlocks, and Hunters). Also NIB has the off set chance of back firing not always making it your ticket to surviving and can easily cause a loss for an arena match. Requires the player to also trade off beneficial attributes and stat enhancement for a roll of the dice. All the players in arena that play as a double damage composition carry this item quite literally and causes further unnecessary effort to deal with this item. Its an extra obstacle once again that is the difference between someone living because of taking a chance on using an item or someone dying because the item backfired and now they take 200% increased damage onto themselves.
Bottomline is that these two items should be disabled from arenas, at least skull of impending doom should be if not both. That is just my thorough take on the way I think about it, and that I believe many others feel similarly as.
