I am using wow in an environment where I want my systems proxy to be different to my wow proxy. Is there anyway to tell battle.net to use a separate proxy to the system? I’ve seen the proxy settings article but that shows how to change the system proxy settings rather than the program itself.
I rather doubt anyone can confidently answer that question since it has nothing to do with the battle.net app itself, only your operating system and network environment. Which you didn’t describe at all.
Well some apps give you the option to specify what proxy you want to use. The battle.net application doesn’t seem to have an easy way to do it.
The battle.net app doesn’t know anything about proxies at all. It’s designed to use the network facilities provided by your OS, including any proxies you may have installed, but it doesn’t select a particular proxy any more than it selects a particular network adapter.
If there’s any proxy selection or bypassing that needs to be done, it has to be done in the OS.
