Both Classic and BfA have a Fullscreen Bloom effect that reeks of something from 2009 Maplestory clones. This has had the most positive impact on my Classic experience, by far:
/console ffxglow 0
To turn it back on, type:
/console ffxglow 1
It should honestly be disabled by default with a menu option in both versions of the game.

Tried it and also enjoy the difference. Thanks for the tip!

Guess I need to try this when I’m off work. Bookmark’d.
Can someone post screenshots with and without bloom?
Sure, just gimme a few and I’ll fly to Stormwind. It’s more noticeable in some zones than others.
Actually, it’s probably going to have a much smaller impact because it’s night time but I’ll do it anyways. I’ll come back and do one tomorrow during the day as well.

This is a must for anyone who plans on completing the Uldaman dungeon.

Here’s Darnassus.

The super purpley glow is kinda iconic to Darnassus but my old boomer eyes still prefer the glow disabled.
