Disable flashing red screen edges at low health!

Nothing like playing your first character and having them drop dead because you overpulled and didn’t look at your health bar!

It wasn’t in classic. Make it not so! #NOCHANGES

If it was not in vanilla it should not be in Classic. #nochanges

The only flashing found in WoW Classic will be in Goldshire.

This feature, i don’t know when it was put in game, is probably the dumbest thing ever.

“You are about to die so we decided to start flashing colors on your screen to distract you while you try to stay alive”.

When i came back to play wow for BFA and i was in the legion pre-patch. I had no addons working and i was killing a shadow priest in world pvp and my screen started doing that. It got me killed so i slammed my fist on my keyboard and broke two numpad buttons.

Huh, I was the opposite.

When I was swapping from Heals role to DPS after MoP (I hated healing/raid comp changes in WoD+), I kept paying attention to the raid frames and my health instead of doing DPS stuff like killing, cc, mechanics etc.

I ended up relying on the flashing screen in my peripherals to tell me when I’m low so that I know to get some self-heals up. So I had this muscle memory as I went to try private servers and I die all the time because I don’t look at my character frame.

I dont want it in, not because #NoChanges or whatever, but because effects that cause a blur or effect around th edges of the whole screen really just bother me to look at, not even sure why, they just do.

Im pretty sure that in retail there’s a checkbox for it. My memory could be failing me though and I can’t verify (game is uninstalled).

I understand the sentiment of your statement. I keep glow and bloom settings off because it feels like I’m looking through my grandfather’s glasses.

The flashing came from a combination of other games having that effect, and an addon I knew I used, that put a solid red frame around your screen when under 30% health.

I used to use it as a healer, because in raids I’d be so focused on the health bars of the tanks or raid, that I wouldn’t pay attention to my own direct health. As long as I wasn’t standing in the fire, or being hit by a Living Bomb etc, I wouldn’t watch my own health.

Yeah I always turn this option off.

I turn it off because it’s annoying. Pay attention to your health pool and what is under your toon’s feet.

This ^^^^^

I won’t have a choice if it’s not in classic. :dagger:
