I have done everything in my knowledge to fix this, and can’t figure it out. I have base combat text on. Everything is fine except i keep seeing “Snared” and “rooted” no matter who does it. Myself on a mob? Yup. Some random guy from Stormreaver server, 600 yards away on a target dummy? Yup. It’s SUPER annoying. Especially in dungeons with a frost mage or frost DK or something. Constant CC text.

I thought it was another addon, but with ALL addons off, it still shows up. (ignore the bad UI, no addons).
I believe a combat text addon turned something on and I dont know how to turn it off?
It’s a bug, been bugged for a while now. If you ever turn it on it’s impossible to turn off.
The CVar is question is FloatingCombatTextSpellMechanics and FloatingCombatTextSpellMechanicsOther

It just seems like the game doesn’t obey it once it’s been turned on, not sure why.
