Disable Add-On warnings

Title says it all. It constantly gives me the Disable Add-On warning while merely farming in the world. When I disable it and then enable my Add-On again, I get the warning literally a minute or two later.

Please fix this bug. I’ve yet to do am M+ dungeon in fear that it will constantly pop up.

Then it’s an add on that’s causing something to go wrong, do a full UI reset or rename cache and add on folders etc and restart your system then try without add ons to troubleshoot.

Really? That’s interesting because until this reset on the 22nd, I wasn’t having any problems.

I did.

I will. Thanks for the response.

Bigger patches like this one tend to, and did, include changes to the api which can cause addons to not function properly.

Anything I/we can do about this? I’m sure I’m not the only one going through this and I don’t trust Blizzard to rectify this problem.

Thanks.

The update on the 22th broke a lot of addons… it’s normal.

Unless it’s an actual bug with Blizzard’s API, they won’t fix it. It’s up to the addon developer to update it to be compatible with the latest version of the game.

So… update the addon (if an update has been released) or don’t use it anymore (if the author has abandoned development). It’s always good practice to keep your addons up to date.

The paranoia is misplaced, but you have one thing right: it’s not Blizzard’s job to fix your addons.

If Blizzard makes a change that breaks an addon, it’s the addon author’s job to update the addon to be compatible, and if that’s not possible, it’s the user’s responsibility to stop using a broken addon.

Appreciate the advice.
