I definitely not talking about them being bi weekly for an entire season like they were in season four of DF, that simply was waaaaaaay too many. I’m talking about when they first put them into the game when we only got three.
I guarantee everyone can attest to the pains that comes with going after that chase item, and how RNG can simply be a serious hinderance, at an even greater amount than intended at times it feels like. In which dinar’s, or bullions helped a lot with that by allowing you to buy items from a vendor.
I feel like we should get three of them each season moving forward, we could get them maybe a couple weeks after mythic raid has released, or the midpoint of the season to help with catchup or to fill out any items that are proving to be tough to obtain.
I hate that they have made a lot of powerful items stupid hard to get recently, it feels counter intuitive given with raid items you only have a single chance per week for the item. In which I feel like the lack of reroll tokens or dinars just makes it feel bad overall, granted its definitely not the end all be all if you are unable to get things such as the ring, neck, or cloak from the raid. Yet when you are trying to push down bosses or keys, they do start to matter a lot. In which I feel like we should have a little easement as the season progresses to obtain them.

Agreed. Systems like that really act as a bad luck protection. Want a specific trinket/weapon etc and it isn’t dropping? A vendor has it, you just need X kills to buy it. It seems like a way better system then RNG
I feel that trinkets should no longer drop from anywhere, and must only be bought with Dinars, then. Bad trinkets that nobody uses are too common.

Y’all just noticing it’s make season 1 really bad and locked down and only ripcord it with handing people stuff when it’s the last season?
S1 for all xpacs is always abusive with its honeymoon phase, as people fall for it.
I can guarantee they’ll put the dungeons that are actually fun on season rotation next season once people have been slowed down by the unfun sabotaging/mobile game stonewalling for monetization season 1 has done.

we know 4 of the 8 dungeons for next season.
Sounds better than season of eight 10s of mists of tirna scithe with a mandatory resto shaman.
doing two 10-Mists should count as one dungeon.
Well, I would like to see something like that but probably it won’t happen.
I’d be ok if we get an item of our choice every month.
Granted but you have to either time a +12 or kill Mythic Rash’anan to get a drop. It is hard to get BIS items right now but you don’t need them unless you are starting to play on that level.
This is a blizzard created problem though. The fact that everyone and their mom wants spymaster and MQM is their fault.
That’s kinda the point they want you to chase those items and play longer, they want you to raid or do M+ week after week to chase after bis. And that’s also something people are looking for, if you fully gear yourself faster then there is good chance you’ll stop playing and then this also means that there is less reason to do raiding in itself when those items are added to raiding as incentive.
Right, you can still achieve this through limited amounts of dinars and having them start dropping later in the season.
You shouldn’t be able to get items / upgrade them to ilvls present on versions of items that drop from things you haven’t done or bosses you haven’t killed.
If you can stick to that I don’t really have an issue with buying 2-3 items very late in a season.
bullions remind me of fallout 76 lol
I liked the bullion system. Every week I got multiple new current content mogs. That was nice.
There’s for sure better ways to do this but that’s also the problem with systems, the better it is tuned/refined the less simple it becomes. And I’m not a fan of simply timegating it behind time as that would mean people would wait for it.
I mean do ppl not longer have alts?
You still gear really quick right now compared to before unless we’re speaking of DF, I’m not sure it makes sense to make it even faster. There’s a point where this isn’t an alt problem, you want also to be able to play your characters a bit longer before being done.
My stance is that you keep things the way they are, but offer an avenue at the midpoint of the season to obtain items as needed. If it literally worked like it did in season 4 of shadowlands.
For those who don’t remember you got the dinar, but when you bought the item it started out at normal, and then you had to down heroic and mythic bosses to obtain a currency essentially that was used to upgrade the dinar items to heroic and mythic ilvls.
If it worked like it did in season 4 SL’s, over season 4 of DF, I think it would be fine. It could work in that it costs extra crests to upgrade dinar items to balance it out to allow people to work towards getting their dinar item to myth track if they don’t raid.
That way things like the ring or trinket from ansurek, or the neck from sikran, or the cloak for Rash’anan, or the trinket from silken, all of which are chase items, could be better obtained. In a manner that grants a bit of easement when its needed, which is about the midpoint of a season when people either return to the game, are making alts, or are working towards getting that last bit of gear. Have a better track to follow, as most guild typically will not be able to reclear a raid. Its very rare that guilds have enough time to reclear several times over to farm out items on the highest difficulty as well.
My point of view is the best way to get more loot in raids is to add more loot drops to raids.
I know it might sound like dark magic.
I mean I agree with this, blizzard in all honesty has been eroding away at gear more and more as these expansions have launched. It started in SL’s, then was made worse in DF with rare and very rare loot drops from bosses. With WWI being even worse with the gearing tiers we have being such large gaps between each difficulty level.
Followed by making chase items even harder to obtain has just led to quicker burnout, there is balance in all things as you have reiterated. Yet current blizzard has made things too hard to obtain, and take too much effort in all honesty to upgrade at this point in time.
