Dinar gear requires Mythic boss to be killed for Myth track piece

Because now they are guaranteed their bis loot? If you don’t see how this will obviously lead to boosting you are willfully ignorant

hey at least this isnt swtor

over there carries for the raid mounts are 15 billion credits, equivalent to like 5,000 dollars in a cash to shop currency conversion

So you were never going to get it anyway. What’s the issue?

Heroic raiders get heroic loot, as they should?

And that’s just for people eligible for the content not even people who would use it. A lot of eligible players just don’t care anymore / stop playing after CE especially if the kill requirement isn’t account wide. HOF players I’m assuming are enjoying their break.

And why would you get Mythic raiding gear if you aren’t a Mythic raiding gear…?

Inspect my character. I’ll happily buy a Jester Diamond and a necklace and I only raid Heroic. Your take is one where you feel entitled to Mythic gear despite not doing anything even remotely to get it.

That’s essentially what these threads always boil down to. Folks who feel entitled to stuff, get upset, say a bunch of insane stuff, then resort to buzzwords, and then eventually it’ll either die down or get out of hand and the thread needs to get 404’d.

Rinse and repeat because the entitlement of these people ain’t going away.

And casuals get bis heroic raid loot when the hardest content thay have done is lfr, seems fair

yeah M+ players need to be humble

I mean, the situation is funny though.

Delvers were told to go do keys as the next step up after getting a keystone from it but why M+ players have a problem when they’re told to go mythic raid?

“I wasnt going to spend a thousand dollars on a carry, but now that I will ensure I get one extra item that will be irrelevant in two months, like how wow has worked since it’s first expansion, I’m definitely going to drop a grand” - no one ever

None of that is new though, they’ve placed breadcrumbs to try to entice players to do other things in the game for years.

They don’t, though.

Delve loot isn’t heroic raid loot.

Is that how much a carry would cost?

you say that now but then season 3 rolls around and they deleted delves

yes they do, 3 weeks of lfr gets you heroic jastors or bestinslots

When I checked last tier that was the cost.

delves were never intended as a legitimate “competitive” game mode, I dunno why y’all play stupid like delves are a legit thing except for getting gear on alts

can i get not-crazy stuff instead for a lower cost? that’d be nice

Imagine that instead of holding back puzzling cartel chips, they had released these with the original Undermine 11.1 patch, and that they told people these were just intended to give bad luck protection against the raid bosses you had already cleared. No build up. No special focus. Just a small part of the renown track for the new raid. The reaction to it would have been fine, at least mildly positive.

Instead, they chose to hold back these underwhelming puzzling cartel chips from the initial Undermine content patch, then in a coy fashion said they would have “more to announce” about obtaining them, while knowing their players believed these would function like Dinars.

Only after releasing a buggy content patch do they release the puzzling cartel chip information. Predictably, non-Cutting Edge players are disappointed. Instead of seeing it as a benefit, they are frustrated because they believed something better was coming.

It’s actually kind of amazing how bad the developers instincts have become. Each of these things is MEANT to be a positive for some part of the playerbase. Something to get some sector of them excited to log in, add something novel for a week or two to their routine, make them feel a bit less frustrated by gear RNG.

But with poor communication, delays of what should not be held back (like puzzling cartel chips) and early releases of what should go through more QA testing (the Nightfall scenario), Blizzard reliably - incredibly reliably - finds a way to turn what should be a win into a loss.

Very true. And if you complained about it, you were labeled as being ‘dramatic’ and ‘overly emotional’.
