Dinar changes had boosters/carries in mind to sell wow tokens, its pretty obvious

More profitable to make a new system where you can force your players who do not mythic raid to buy a boost and pay for it via wow tokens then it is if you gave it away for free like in DF. What a slap in the face change this is. Greed is too real here.

I know it’s truly MADNESS to suggest so, but there are other items to spend them on besides JDiamond/EKezan.

Getting 6 is way more than anyone expected. It’s still removing RNG on some very attractive items, even if it means you have to do more than delves to go get it.

100%, this was designed in Liquid and Echo guild chats

Dear lord, now it’s going to be threads about ‘Big Carry’ and the insidious machinations of mythic guilds
 existing

basically
 the token was a mistake.

what s shocker

I’m still wondering who on earth would spend real money to get the ability to buy a slightly-better piece of gear that they don’t even need because they’re only doing easy content in the first place.

Playing wow isn’t compulsory. They need to learn that lesson yet again.

Yeah, the only thing I’m thinking about is how Mythic raiders are rubbing their hands together.

This is 100% gonna boost profits for them.

So glad I dumped PvE years ago, otherwise this would be very annoying.

Same ones that felt compelled to buy the 90 dollar bruto mount last year.

Blizzard found out players are extremely easy to extort for their sunk cost fallacy.

There are about to be a lot of 0N 0H 1M player profiles and a bunch of tokens sold.

I mean honestly these are fine as blp

they’re bad as what people expected them to be from fated seasons

Idk people who do weekly +10 no leavers keys worrying too much about being full bis

Fair disclosure - I didn’t get that either!! :joy:

Still do not own a brutosaur. Would love a non-features brutosaur mount available via in-game methods some day, though.

I got it, but only thru gold to token, because I actually play the auction house as a grinding game.

I would never pay money for a mount, out of principle. It only encourages bad behavior by game devs to do so.

Either I play something or I don’t. Boosting and getting carried is such a hollow feeling and something to quit over. But it seems like someone is hoping people who are “too far in” buy a boost to enable dinar use instead.

It would just make the keys easier.

Not everyone wants to get Mythic gear to Mythic raid.

It’d just help them for their own needs.

I get it, I do.

I just think it’s strange I can never step foot into a heroic raid, yet I can upgrade my PvP gear to be almost on-par with that.

I’d just let people upgrade their gear even further.

Nobody that couldn’t kill Mythic Gallywix before isn’t suddenly gonna do it now for some trinket.

If it’s beyond their scope of ability, they aren’t gonna do it.

Even with Mythic gear, they’re still not gonna faceroll their way up.

Well, not everyone is that good.

We all know about low keys in PuGs.

Do they deserve BiS? Likely not.

At the same time, I don’t see it hurting anyone else.

The issue is skill, not gear.

Gear cannot carry someone that lacks the skill, for the most part.

Folks have their own goals and are satisfied once they reach it.

The Activision era is starting to feel like the good old days.

I hate to break this to you, but each purchase costs 3 chips
so you’re only gonna get 2 items total

We expected 3 choices, not 2.

Probably the same reason they pay a monthly sub to beta test for a billion dollar company.

Ok well then F’s to me ig.

Here I thought there might be some interesting strategy to spend chips to reach for higher purchases but that’s too brainy for them. So much for the one potentially good angle.
