Did Blizzard ease up on this?

We seem to be back to the days of Vanilla “World of Stuncraft”.

Use resolve trinket

None of that matters. You get locked right back up, hence the “diminishing returns.”

There is no strategic point in using certain get free items currently.

I should also clarify I’m also referring to Battegrounds, not Arena.

if stuns and fear/loss of control( its the effing same) were put on the same dr players couldn’t use their face to play anymore.

It’s at a pretty critical “this is a terrible time” game play.

I dont mind getting rolled, it’s part of the experience, but at least let me play…

agree completely but bliz said in an interview a LONG time ago that it would remove something they believed added a lot of depth to arena. But heck this new team holds nothing inviolate so anything could happen.

Agonist, have you read the description of the resolve trinket? It isn’t the 2 minute trinket.

Has Locks Charm always been 8 seconds?

If that’s the same as seduce I believe so. At least as far back as I could remember Locks would use the succubus to get prepped to dot and control you.

Has anyone answered the question of whether diminishing returns still exist? I have recently returned to WoW and it seems like there is no DR anymore. Seems like you can continuously stun people (from my experience being the stunner and the person being stunned).

DR’s exist lol. After the stun fades the next stun is on DR for 20 seconds. This applies to 99% of all cc ( there are spells that are off dr)

I think what has changed is the global. DR only exists in the same “type” of stun.

So hunter pet stun, to rogue stun, to lock stun, to paladin stun, to DK stun, to shaman movement, priest fear ect all function in different timers.

I run almost 112k buffed ,as a prot pally, and I can’t even get out of a lock long enough to even use a health stone or potion sometimes. I’ve even tried macros.

The pet stun rogue stun paladin stun and dk stun all dr each other. idk what the pet stuns duration is but lets say its 5 the rogue stun lets say its kidney would be 3 the paladin stun would be 1 and the dk stun would be immune.
Unless this was changed during shadowlands it should be working like this
( Drs go full-50% duration reduction-75% duration reduction -Immune)

The shaman knockback and priest fear have there own dr categories so you would still be impacted by them at full duration.

Right, but I dont think they all combine if there is a fear or a totem in between them. I’ve seen a very long control almost run out and get the same long control back to back; it keeps me completely locked up for the entire time. I really wish I could pinpoint exactly what the stun is but it’s pretty incredible.

if you get cheap shotted (4 seconds) into a psy scream the next stun on you should be half duration (kidney would be 3 at 5 cp) This is how it should be working and the last bg I was in did work this way. I can’t speak on your personal experiences and my last few games were in the 20-29 bracket ( less cc in general because lower lvl) What I typed above is how it normally works though unless something is broken.

I’ve been educating myself on DR and I’ve got to say: I understand most of them with the except of rogues.
