I recall seeing something about a system being implemented for SL that would cause secondary stats to yield diminishing returns, essentially an effort to prevent players from stacking the same secondary stat to high effect.
Now I look at PVP gear and see that every single piece has Versatility on it and I can’t help but wonder if players with full PVP sets are effectively nerfing themselves due to this system of diminishing returns.
Does anyone know if the system of diminishing returns is in effect, and if so, at what point it starts to kick in?
If this system is indeed in effect, does that not neutralize the 2 pc set bonus of having both PVP trinkets?

From 0 to 30%, there’s no penalty.

From 30% to 39%, there’s a 10% penalty.

From 39% to 47%, there’s a 20% penalty.

From 47% to 54%, there’s a 30% penalty.

You can’t get more than 126% from gear rating.

to add to that complexity, not every class gets the same value from every stat, so some classes will be impacted by this more than others.

This may matter later on when you can actually stack fat stats. TBH, this could just screw us over with wearing all vers gear and force us to PVE for some additional slots of non vers stats. but idk. the DR seems pretty weak. i cant imagine stopping versa stacking just because of 10% penalty
Yes if you are in DR then the bonus will be less since it is a stat amp. Only flat % buffs bypass DR like Lust for example.
Yea this is a shame. Versa is NOT a PvP stat and needs to be removed so we can actually have one. Oh well TBC is coming.
